So while he's holding onto the watch/wearing it he's King, but when he's not holding the watch the spell is broken and he's Joel again?

Love the comic and the snout grab at the end finishes it off nicely.

I supposed the real question is... How did she know it was Joel? And this is quite heartbreaking. Based on what Rick has implied about pet lifespans in the comic, it can be implied about Fox's mother that she died relatively young. :( As for her looking like Bailey, that may be how they are related...

It did seem a bit one sided as there was only one human in the last panel.
I remember it being said that appearance is down to the persons own will, but even so you would expect to see more humans/people wanting to seen as human.

I like where the comic is going.
