I doubt Jata is dead, Deadeye probably just twisted or broke his arm. He's really one of those stoic, impassive, capable types it would seem. Like Peanut, nothing phases him, and we finally get to see an alternative expression of his! This strip is getting some action drama!

I expected the wolves to be doing better than they are. Other than Deadeye, they are all doing rather poorly. Maybe you´re underestimating the K9´s (?)
