I just realized that Grape is the only oddly colored cat.

They seem to have a sort of blue sheen to me.

I have the week off work, so I'm hoping I can be here this week for the comic launches each night.

You know, I recall at least two episodes in which Tom dies: In one he ends up blowing both his house and himself trying to get Jerry, and in the other, a parody of the three musketeers, he fails to catch Jerry and his grey baby mouse friend and keep them from stealing the french royalty's cheese, and gets beheaded for it.
Great times, great times.

Yep, remember the latter. What made it so much more messed up was that the grey mouse practically shrugged his death off.

You're forgetting the Cheshire Cat. He's violet. =) And real. *shifty eyes*

The little grey mouse said, in French, "Ah well. That's war." when Tom was beheaded. In other words, Tom became just another statistic.
There's another episode where Tom dies. He drops a piano down the staircase onto himself and then spends the rest of the episode trying to get into cat heaven.

I love Miss Sandwich in this strip BTW. Her face is hilarious! XD

I thought he said "çes't la vie!" which means "That's life!"
And that episode doesn't count because at the end it's revealed that it was all a dream when the piano knocked Tom unconcious, and the decided to be nice to Jerry, much to Jerry's confusion.
.....
How is it that I remember something I last saw so many years ago?!

It was "C'est la guerre" which means "That's war". That episode can be found here.
As for the other one, it's called "Heavenly Puss" I unfortunately can't find a good quality version of it on youtube, but there was a very shaky one taken by a camera pointed at the TV and it is, in fact, a dream. I stand corrected. :) It's been a while since I saw that one. ;)
