Clearly Max has no intention of getting married. I agree Karot does make a cute couple, and depending on how deep you want to read into this strip it could sail. Who knows except Rick.

I'm all for Tarot and Peanut though i'm guessing Dragon might have had a say in this as well.

Well, at least it'll always be alive in the hearts of those that still adore the shipping. *places hat over heart* (This actually includes me as well, granted I'm more a generalized shipper. I'm willing to back up several different kinds of ships, granted it makes sense and/or cute to think of.)

I think a bit more info is needed before Cobra starts celebrating about them getting married. For all we know Max could completely hate the idea and they get into a fight about it, or it could never be brought up again (like what Grape was going to tell Peanut when she was on catnip, or what Tarot said to him to calm him down during IM2!) therefore making the whole panel pointless in the grand scheme of the comic.

I could imagine Max running away in 3... 2... 1...

But, admit it, this remains a GREAT moment for any Grapwell shipper. And Grape wouldn't throw such a bomb for the fun of it.

I love it. This was probably one of the best chapters to date, and that is SAYING something! It had suspense, humor, romance, conflict, and a genuine resolution that leads into new storyline possibilities both for King as well as for Grapenut.

Tarot catching the bouquet? Grape mentioning marriage to Max? Even if they're both just a tease, they're GOOD teases!

So this was adorable. I can see another panel where Tarot giving Peanut and mischievous look while she holds the bouquets. And Peanut scratching the back of his head or neck. Or rubbing his arm nervously blushing deeply.

Yeah it is there is no way to deny that, but given what I said above it could easily be a double edged sword.

Howso? There's always the possibility that Maxie isn't the marrying kind, and events occur that could drive Grape and Peanut together.

I personally think that a cat-and-dog marriage of some sort may prove to be a key in Keene's master plan. I mean, how expect equality between animals and humans if you don't have equality between animals?

It doesn't have to be Grapenut per se, and with Tarot catching the bouquet it might not be, but it is a possibility.

BTW: We have our answer as to whether that one couple was actually part of the K-9 Unit. They are. :3
