[ It Even Is Awesome ]

Alt Text: Come on Grape, TV isn't so bad . . . is it . . . is it Sharktoberfest in July yet?

Grape wants in on awesome, trans-dimensional adventures! Is that so much to ask!?

Well she is clearly going to follow them, or its going to be a double date; one of the two.

I'm calling it now: Grape does stay home and the arc follows her instead of Peanut and Tarot.

That would be a twist for sure, it would make the arc rather boring though because it would be basically Grape brooding the whole time.

Also you know the last time this kind of stuff was brought up to Grape (at the end of We're Snowed In!) she didn't even want to hear about it. Why does she suddenly want to go with them. Also why in the world does she want to intrude on their date exactly? That is kind of rude even if they are going to someplace cool.

At first I was thinking "what's the deal with water parks?" but then it hits me: Sabrina.
Yup, the whole gang is going to the trip (I wonder if Kari is included)

By the way, I think Grape looks more feline than ever before.

on another note, apparently Tarot's new face marking wasn't makeup for the wedding or something weird with lighting. good to know.

Yeah I noticed that. Don't know if I like it or not yet, but the look does go along with her being supernatural and all.

The shadow around her eyes has always been there. Well, except in one early strip. It's only now when I decided I'd delineate all fur patterns that it's actually been highlighted. (I've been trying to mark it as lightly as I could so it doesn't seem TOO contrasted.)

I am not precisely sure it's in the right place though. I'll probably fidget with it a LITTLE over a few strips.

Next comic ~ The last panel will be Grape screaming as she opens the front door to the house and goes sliding.

Nothing wrong with looking out for Peanut. She's got that protective instinct in her! I just think it's going to be funny when she finds out when Gallifrax turns out to be some sort of awesome place to go for the summer and quickly switches from "This place is stupid. It's not even in our dimension." to "This is awesome. It's out of this world."

I wish I noticed it more on the epilogue, but looking back at the previous comic, I think the mark was always neat when it wasn't standing out as much as it is now.

Well this might be the arc where Grape gets into trouble or does something stupid and Peanut will have to save her. There's a twist for ya.

Well, it would seem that while grape is jealous of tarot on the outside, it makes you wonder about the way she feels about Peanut... (Jealousy maybe? :?: )

She does doesn't want to share, our little love Tarot.
She knows Grape will always want to come,
wherever she may go.

She just wants to take Peanut to a place of fun
and she knows the score - when Grape comes
they'll end up on the run.

She mentions slyly what she knows benumbs
most cats – although Grape doesn't count
and still her envy hums

She'll demand a trip on her own account
and the local laws she'll probably flaunt
and Tarot will lose her park discount...

Tarot = awesome

I detect a hint of jealousy, but I think even for best friends with zero romantic tension between them, one would eventually get a little annoyed if they were constantly going on Wild And Crazy Adventures with their Deluxe Magical Girl/Boyfriend that don't cost them a thing while you're stuck at home killing mice.
Yes, like back on the very beginning of the comic. Grape and Peanut shared a common interest in pretending to go on crazy adventures. Now Tarot had 1 up'd grape on those games with actual multi-dimensional traveling adventures. I could imagine Grape getting jealous.

I never have noticed that shading on Tarot until this strip. Interesting. And if waterparks in the normal universe are fun, Gallifraxian waterparks must be fun on a bun.

If what you are saying is true then, given that Tarot is a fortune-teller, it wouldn't be surprising if she ends up walking right into a wall one of this days.

This comic is your own doing.
I won't claim this move is bad.
But, like The Simpsons' latin american dubbing,
This sudden changes make me feel sad.
IceKitsune wrote:I think it looks fine as is personally, it makes her look neat.
The shaded strip on her eyes, her new found fluffyness/chubbyness, and probably the fact that both characters are wise-cracking magic users, truly makes me think of Ursula from The Little Mermaid, but that's probably just me.

On last strip's comments, I claimed that maybe the Galli-frog-whatever dimnsion is actually our own, real-world one, and the dialog on this strip's last two panels ("Dangerous for mortals, sometimes." "Has an awesome water park.") only seems to sustain it even more.

The only problem for me is that I wnt to read every single comment in this threads, and that forces me to read your poems real quick, without fully appreaciating them.

During the epilogue strip I thought that patch was some sort of a veil, but checking older strips after that showed otherwise.

Or maybe it's Sharktoberfest at the Gallifrax Water Park and Grape gets to rescue them.
