"Oh, my ~ What big feet you have!"
"Errr... the better to eat you with?" *Mr. Bigglesworth exits*

I think it could've been more humorous if she just asked how does a girl like Mr. Bigglesworth get such strong toes, or if she turned her toes a little to the left after the toe comment. X3

Everyone is saying how weird Squeak is, but...
her boyfriend is JOEY, who dresses in cat suits. Are you surprised?
Anyway, I think Joey and Squeak are perfect for each other and make a cute couple. =3

The cat suit is just a silly cute thing, whereas this is just bizarre and uncomfortable. :/

I agree with you that Joey's catsuit is pretty silly, but im sure some people would be weirded out by it as well. Of course, this particular situation with Squeak is bizarre and weird on a different level, isn't it? Heck, even the other characters seem to acknowledge that. I still like Joey and Squeak, and I hope nobody's being offended or turned off by this particular "weird" part of the comic.

This comic was originally going to be a single one-off, but there was too much setup for it. I could have expanded it to a two-part one-off (two-off?) but I also thought that Spo and Squeak never had a real introduction to one another, so I expanded it to a mini-arc.

So yes it ended up being a very elaborate setup to a silly character joke.

I am not sorry.

And you have no reason to be Rick, it's just not many people expected that kind of joke here, though it may of only made it funnier.

Oh, so wrong and on several levels...

I know lot of folks got the foot-fetish thing with Squeak and Joey, but who else was reminded of Peanut's experience with the "Spicy Barn Cats" in

Paralysis Of The Mouth
and
Probably Taking This Too Far?

This strip was a great laugh!

The only problem is that I was reading Spo's words in Krillins voice from TFS Abridged...

I can attest to this actually. For a while I took Joey to be a weird character that would only be around for comic-relief, but obviously there's been plenty of development of his character past that, that I'm actually rather fond of him now.

I'm thinking the whole paw/crush fetish thing will pass in a couple of days (or weeks) I'm sure.

I, for one, would enjoy seeing an epilogue, (possibly branching into another arc?) with Squeak having to explain to Joey that he is "her one and only" or some other phrase like that.
Also I find this hilarious. And the suit thing doesn't bother me. If it did I wouldn't ask to wear the wolf suit at work.

Amusing arc, I appreciate some oddities in the characters. I guess this shouldn't be surprising considering her boyfriend.

Only question I'm left with though is whether or not a typical mouse can survive a full on foot stomp given this link has a not so lucky foot stomped mouse killed before eaten. Is this a small bit of character development or is there something more going on?

very likely because Squeak has had past experience with this sort of "event". And judging from the imprint on the grass, it looks like it took a lot of the force, where the last mouse that got stomped was either on thin carpet or hard floor (can't recall what their house has).

Can't believe I was actually able to explain that.

...or maybe you may invoke funny physics. Just like Jasper can nuke BG, get flattened into an accordion note, and then everyone's fine by the next strip.

And maybe Squeak is used to getting stomped? I doubt that Bigglesworth stamps nearly as hard as Grape too.

Grape stamps like a docker wearing bovver boots.
