Anyway, I know someone suggested that Grape would do this, so they were right on that account. As for what happens next, we shall see...

Also, I just noticed, throughout each panel, you can see the shadows in the background growing larger. In fact, upon further review, the background shadows have been undulating in the other two strips of this arc as well - and only in this arc.

This...must mean something. Maybe the very fabric of reality is already starting to rip...

Heh. Panel 3 and 4 could have taken Tarot minutes, enough time for Grape to get Max.

Panel 3 is the closest I've seen to a BSOD from Tarot, I think.

I really didn't think anything of it, I basically thought she was saying hes an exception because he's her boyfriend, since this whole thing is a date. I doubt there is anything more to it then that, but maybe there is.

It is me or Tarot does look cuter at every strip? X3
So a double date, huh? I wonder if Peanut would feel comfortable sharing a date with Grape and Max. :?
However, I don't waive to my previous guesses yet. And I'm still saying Sabrina and Kari will be there.
Sinder wrote:oh man, do we finally get to see some soul-shattering

that would make this so much better
You know, I wonder if when she said about "soul being shattered" she was referring to... nevermind. (I'm totally predicting this at the next strips XD)
IceKitsune wrote:Speaking of the soul shattering prediction Dragon made, which if I recall hasn't happened yet; I kind of wonder if what Tarot realized in that beat panel was that either Dragon made it up or that this was what she was talking about all those years ago.

Edit: Given what Grape said in the strip (that basically nothing along those lines has happened yet) I'm really leaning towards it being that Dragon was lying about the whole thing to seem cool.
Now you're making me doubt. I wonder if there's a deeper reason for Grape to be there. (After all this arc seems to be focused on her.)
Xane wrote:You know, Tarot doesn't make a good avatar at all. Her ridiculous Doctor Orpheus level of dramatics nearly made Grape throw her out the door when they first met, her inability to speak with brevity ended up letting Peanut release Pete, her disassociation from "mortals" even though she's one herself ended up distancing King (increasing the likelihood he'll become a rival/enemy to Dragon) until he slams the door in her face... and then her original warning about the end of times coming to the Prime universe ends up backfiring in her face when she tries to use the same logic as an excuse not to take Grape with them...
But at the end, fighting skills is what really matters. Besides, there's still the chance that Sabrina to take charge of the role.

Who knows. By words of Pete we know Karishad is special, so Peanut could be of the same kind as well (maybe that's partly the reason why he wanted him as his avatar).

Well, Max, I'd say you fell into a ghost circle and somehow found your way to Grape's house. Thats the only explanation I can offer you. Sorry.

look more to me like "N-ple date, the Peanut version". except humorous enough, Peanut and Tarot have Grape and Max, who are currently the only other couple they can count on to make it not so awkward.

I really think this arc is going to be more like Theme Park World in terms of structure, a Montage of them going different places and doing things. Now story wise I could see a kind of reverse Imaginate, Too happening with maybe Grape screwing up the Protocol and getting them kicked out.

Edit: I guess it could be like Theme Park World story wise as well but I feel that there is a bit to much set up for basically nothing to happen at all, plus the name of the arc makes me feel like something is going to happen here.

The background is quite jarring...

Oh Max, never question... there is no hope in questioning things.

Garpe's face in the last panel... she loves messing with Max like that.

We're letting the poetry flow
in this Digital Age
for those who wish to be in the know
or perhaps to control their rage...
I wrote: But Ho! Here is a box! Is it a thing that is bad? No! It is a fox! The Alternate Karishad!

"There's more than one of him?" (says Grape) "This cannot be a good thing. For this one's wearing glasses, and a purple wedding ring!"

"There is a thing beside him quite similar in size. With a foxy tail behind it and giant bright blue eyes!"
"We're off to fight the Darkleks
their bodies made of tin!
I've got my sonic clawdriver
and with my wits I'll win!"

"This TARDIS is my home base
'cause I'm the only one
who was crazy enough in the place
to think 'this should be fun'"

"And though they plan to stab me
five times with Mortons Fork
I'll make them quite unhappy
stopping them with just a plastic spork!"

"I've read the battle's history
And I know just what to do.
To me it is no mystery,
I'll use the gum on my shoe."

"I've been here
I've been there
Worn vegetables and hats.
Played on stage
And been brave
Against nurses that were cats."

"Do I get scared?
Sometimes.
But people need my help.
Without me
They would be
Pete's chess paw-ns on a shelf."

"So I press on, mostly
for sakes of others' faire.
It's a hard life, but it is mine.
You see my graying hair?"

"My partner standing 'side me
has given up so much;
Her youthful looks
for metal hooks
to serve our Sunday brunch."

"But quite enough of that! (He said)
I more like fun and games!"
And he gave all some planes and trains
and after that, "Oh drat!"

"There seems to be some trouble
round Spain in 1492.
It seems Columbus' ship has bubbles
coming out of all the crew."

"And lo! I must be off!
But I leave you this advice.
Merry Christmas to you all,
And stay out of London Christmas night."

Ok, Rick, how much to commission you for an image of Karishad as The Doctor?
