Now I have to wonder if Tarot and Peanut ever went to a Universe where the reverse was true. (Pets ruled and Humans were like Pets to them) I bet they have at least once. You know this arc is kind of going a lot slower then I thought it would, not that this is actually a problem mind you, I actually think it kind of works here. Though I guess that could mean that the arc is not actually meant to get to the water park or the date its self and will be ruined (likely by Max from the looks of things) before that part comes up.

That was a consideration, but then this comic would be MUCH too furry

Yeah I can see how doing the complete reverse would be a bit to much.

It's funny how Max doesn't appear but can still elicit our sympathy. I wonder how many times he's face-planted?

It's only because a human's writing the webcomic, Grape. When you write your own webcomic, then you can decide which species gets to stay on two legs during the inevitable alternate universe arc...

I could imagine Max still crawling on the road at that very moment. XD

That alt text made me check my toes for thumbs, anybody got a cone/hat of shame for that?

Tarot's still fascinated by her paws
as she contemplates universal laws.
Grape needs to ask something for a lark -
'when are we going to this darn water park?'

I'm starting to think less likely that anything will be ruined, mostly because I'm starting to see Max as the comic relief in this arc. Him and Grape are basically the complainers in this comic. While no doubt Max is going to complain a lot and stubbornly fail at things that should be easy, something tells me that will change around the end of this arc

Tarot looks so cute in quadreped form!

I think this arc so far helps give us a little perspective into what makes the Housepets dimension so unique. Obviously being a dog or cat in the HP universe isn't all that bad.

So are they actually in "our" universe now? Are we in the Gallifrax universe? This strip is just too AWESOME!

Unless the game is made by Disney or Square Enix... Or if it's based on the fantasy genre', in which case you can play as almost anything. Starfox, Ratchet & Clank, Spyro... etc.

By the way, I think it would be cute to see Grape (or Max for hilarity) get a gentle scritch between the ears in this arc. See if they have a more pleasant reaction to that sort of thing in this universe...

A human approaches and smiles.

He gives Peanut a scritch
In the spot that does itch.
And his foot begins thumping in style.

Now Maxie speaks up and "Meow?

Then Tarot speaks up and says "Ark!

(Tarot and Max told me if I change the following conversation to rhyme, I'd be sent to the altverse without my hat.)
Max: But my voice? It wasn't bad enough that I losr my ear AND my thumbs? Now I can't even ask for a scritching!

Tarot: Don't worry about that. This human is kind enough to share. He does have two hands, you know.

Pan back, and now Peanut's other leg is going 1 mile per minute, and Grape is pressing her nose into the human's hand and has her back wrapped around his leg.

Max: *heroic BSOD*
(Max: I did not go BSOD! Tarot: Hey, quit interrupting! He's almost to the best part! Max: Fine! *rolls eyes*)

Unknown Human: Ok, is everyone ready for the waterpark?

Tarot, Peanut and Grape: *Happy, excited looks*

Max: I guess...

Unknown Human walks over to the side of his house and turns a knob. Then he grabs a garden hose by the nozzle and aims the shower at the rest of the cast. Peanut, Grape and Tarot have a wonderful time. Max just watches from the side.

Max: You've got to be kidding me.

Actually that sounds kind of like Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. More fridge-horror-put-on-screen than "yay! furry!"

Mmmmm... Planet of the Pets.

What I was thinking though is the world leaders being pets. Our planet is ruled now by six ferrets. (Though U.S. President Maxwell sounds like a cool name.)

AWESOME! I'm just starting the arc about the dog show, but I hope I can catch up to know what's going on here.

I find it's cute that Tarot can't figure out why humans are so special in this universe. Watching her ponder over it with her paw up like that is just amusing =3
