Well, at least they SHOULD be able to talk to this universes pets...
Re: 2013/07/26 - To The Market To The Market
I love how Maxwell was looking awesome as he speaks Spanish, but Grape had that look like she knew where this was going and planned ahead of time. Although considering how Max has been this entire arc, who could blame her?
Also, while it's good to know you finally learned to walk... you are certainly not going to be wearing any pants if this keeps up. Metaphorically speaking, of course. Mayyyybe you can start to learn how to be more gene savvy? X3

So now the question is whether the fishmonger didn't understand and threw the boot because Max's meows were getting annoying, or he did understand and threw the boot because of Max's moments of bad Spanish.

"Yo" means "I" in Spanish. I was expecting Grape to leave whilst Max tried other languages the moment I saw the word market. The boot, however, I didn't see coming.

No chance of that happening Brent, he hasn't disappointed in all the years thus far.

It's intentionally bad - Maxwell's trying to show off and doesn't speak the language as well as he thinks.

Can't wait for them to meet either animal control or the local animals. Also, if they use to live in a neighborhood that was conceived to provide more rights to anthro-like pets, then what sort of neighborhood did they pop into? What sort of social structure do the pets have here? This could be interesting.

Wow, cat-Max in panels 2 and 4 is SO ADORABLE!
And the ability to steal between panels? Grape would make a good pickpocket!

But I guess that even if they can pay for it with their own money, they still can't get their wallets from their collars.

Yes, it is. Even though I can't really read what's being said, if I'm having them say something in particular there's no reason it can't be a bilingual bonus

Re: 2013/07/26 - To The Market To The Market
If Max went through with it, he'd be either be a combination of brave, not genre savy, or bad luck. However, if he's somehow that good ~ he could possibly get everyone to go along with it.Gren wrote:A real credit card would be enough for you?

Grape is such a practical kitty. She knows something is wrong, so she grabs what she needs and bails. Max may be think himself street savvy, but Grape's got the instincts.
I like that smile. Very reassuring in the first and fourth panels.
Oy, that spanish! If I understood it, I would be shaking my head in shame for him at this very moment.

This makes me depressed.
The kitty with contempt is faced.
I thought Max's speech would impress.
And humans all around would in much stress.
Pure white would be their faces' new paint,
And the shocked people would before the cats faint.
Wow was this new banner created fast!
I have hardly seen such things in the past!
The edition and making is commendable,
And making more is quite advisable!
