"Oh come on! Now I have to listen to Spo and Jata as my personal ethics advisers?"

Who, regardless, he'll ignore anyways. :D

This entire artwork is amazing. Fido, you know you have to do the right thing, but you don't have to do it right away

Save Sabrina, Fidey. You could always say you couldn't lift the incredible bulk of Jata.

So now he has to save them both? Probably Sabrina first, she's been down there the longest. Jata's going to owe him some respect if Fido's the one that saves him too.

There's always time and place to think. The situation up there should be under control now but how is Fido gonna save both of 'em.

Prediction...Fido will rescue Sabrina, and by that time Keene will have turned on pool drain to rescue old muscle head.

Fido, how on earth could you ever consider not saving Jata after that face?

Jata might even help - by plugging the hole.

A choice for the hero as the Leopard falls,
to save his girl or keep his little friend
ripping her free may see friendship end
but he often has you climbing the walls.
You can't let her drown but can you let him?
The fighter that's falling down to the base?
Has saving the pair of them become your race?
You're a hero, good Fido, you cannot give in.
There's people to save and you to do it.
But after you save your true love, of course.
Your pledge to serve and protect you'll enforce
and, if friend Spo argues? Well, he's a twit.

If you ask me Fido and Sabrina look much... more naked here than in any other strip featuring them. (Or at least more mature looking).

In any case, gotta love them kitty eyes in the third panel. How could Fido possibly ignore them- even in his thoughts?

I think Spo is probably the single most negative influence ever.

The structure of this strip is really unique. It works wonderfully with the situation. Water effects and lighting are still great, too.

Three days...that truly is far too long to see what happens next. OH WELL. *happily holds breath*

(nice poem btw)

Heh, it would have been funny if Fido's memory had been drawn in the then current art style. Fido even rembered Sabrina was wearing a yellow scarf, but he's recalling a different kind of box :) I know...picky picky :)

Jata's just a JERK

It doesn't really feel like that hard of a choice right now though, he really needs to get Sabrina out first and Jata's way too big anyway. He could barely defend against Jata's leg, nevermind lifting the entire JER... kitty
Jata's like that antagonist that I live to hate. Mainly because of his ignorant humor! :D

Smart thing for Fido to do... Save Sabrina first then quickly save Jata and resuscitate them both.

Result: Jata will no longer have a speciesist problem and will let Fido have Sabrina. If not... Well, Rick better give a GOOD surprise, not a bad one. Aw well, he IS the artist and the creator of this comic, so that means he has free rein on what happens.

I love how much story can be told merely in the expressions. Fido knows what the right thing to do is but he doesn't want to do it :)
And I love the last panel, "what would Sabrina do?" vs "what would Spo do?"

Well Spo wouldn't be able to lift any of them in water, so what he'd do is fortunately just philosophical.

Right, here is what you do, Fido:
1, Save Sabrina
2, Nab a pair of handcuffs from one of the K-9 unit while you are up for air
3, Return for Jata, cuff him, swim him to the surface
4, Drag him over to where Deadeye is standing
5, HERO!

Oops, forgot to hold breath. Here goes.

So Jata might stay and study under Deadeye?

Underwater, muscle is pretty much weightless. And fur is hollow, like hair, but it does produce significant drag. But dogs are generally good swimmers, and Fido has trained with the seals. No, not the NAVY SEALS but the ones at the ocean near the police academ...*AAAH! INCOMING BRICK ALERT!!!*
Seriously though, Until he gets to the surface he shouldn't have too many problems bringing up Sabrina and Jata at the same time.

Sixty seconds is too long to hold my breath, let alone 71 hours...

You know what, now that i think about it,
I'm wondering why Spo would still be on Fido's Head,
At that depth he'd probably be dead,
He should've jumped off,
Before Fido jumped in, *cough*
I guess Welshies right he's a twit

(that's the best i can do, and i wasn't even planning to do it! i feel better now. Please tell me what you think: )
