So... How can Keene call this a victory in any conceivable sense? The world just saw an animal wedding devolve into a full-scale riot where both the bride and groom nearly died. Forgetting the possible foreign relations implications, this can't be seen as anything but a setback for the wedding path of human-animal reconciliation.

To be fair, one thing I'll say about Keene is that he always seems to put a profitable spin on things, even if it's just in his mind. ^^;

I'd honestly be surprised if the Pete was involved in this arc at all. Speaking of which, is it just me or is this the longest arc Rick has written to date?
The longest beforehand was probably either The King and I or Temple Crashers. This one started early in September, so has been going on for two months. It's definitely the longest.

From the looks of things, the climax has wrapped up. I just hope the resolution is as perfect as everything beforehand. This is easily the best arc of the entire comic so far.
The longest would be Imaginate, Too which has 26 strips.

plot twist: Pete told Keene to do this because he knew Fido would stand up to Jata and claim Sabrina as his girlfriend. This is all just part of his plan to create equality amongst the species. We just don't know how, yet.

Keene, you feel so sorry for all the happened mess that you can only giggle at it now? Well, you deserve it, and double the earnings to Jeeves and your servants, those who will have to clean it! Yeah, that's going to be a publicity, but bad publicity... But, you may think that good or bad doesn't matter, the important is talk about it, all becomes a potential business for you!
Fortunately that's punch dyeing the tablecloth and the ground, phew... :P Maybe the other Daryl ate the missing pie part...

BTW, where's everybody else? Did they took too much seriously what Fido said? :P

The people probably started to run away quickly after they saw a pack of wolves running to fight a large Leopard.... who in their right mind would stay within five hundred feet of that, while a pack of police k9s join the fray?

Well, Keene does look good in a suit, you have to give him that.

...except the newspeople, who stood there and reported about a pack of wolves figthing a leopard for the sake of a dog and his love. Thus showing that ferals are not 'all about instinct and appetite'. The same reporters who told about a dog risking his life for the sake of love.
It would make sense, because if Keene is working with Pete toward human/animal equality, what better than *first* breaking the animal taboos, working toward *their* equality?

And yes, he looks good in the suit! :lol:

It depends on your perspective. A women is going to marry for politics but her true love won't stand for it is one way that they could look at it. Like a soap, and many humans love there soaps.
