I've never heard of baking shears before...(assuming its just another way to say kitchen scissors) or is it a cross between shears and kitchen utensils...would that be sanitary?...

I did a quick google image search of baking shears...I actually got this comic as one of the results...I also got a few images of very ordinary-looking scissors cutting excess pasty off the edge of pies like this one.
