[ Blue Lines And Red Tape ]

Title Text: I mean that's cool and all. I'm sure . . . sniffing cats? . . . is very fulfilling for you

That's how the cookies crumble, Fido. That's how the cookies crumble.

Ah well that's really kind of boring no one seems to care. So I guess it really is just Bino and his little group that even cares about it at this point. I mean its really starting to seem that way.

Well, at least Kevin is trying to understand the appeal and not just criticize Fido.

So illicit cat dog relationship wasn't all that illicit to begin with, then.
Also three weeks of free cuddling time.

Best Kevin joke ever, and that's saying a lot!

Kevin do you ever stop being the best

Feel pretty bad for Fido, though.

Does Ralph not care about it, or is he so professional that he has no opinion of cat-dog relationships?

Lol, Kevin.

I think Ralph is just being professional. He's too much of a cop's cop to let his personal opinions show on such a matter

As "by the book" as he is, it's good to know that Ralph does worry about his peers like that. Now let's see how the rest of the pets feel about this.

Looking at that citizen/embassy part, I'm remembering when we had that whole discussion on it in the forums. We've been wondering what might be the reactions of the K9s to Fido and Sabrina's relationship, good of them to be so accepting. I look forward to finding out what more characters think about that.

(Personal)

It's time to answer our questions
about the acts you've commited
you've been seen to act quite strangely
in ways you may have regretted.
Your kept secrets can hurt, my boy
as we don't care who you snuggle.
You fought for her in Feraga -
doing it HERE would be trouble -
but no laws were broken – just snouts.
You should have told us – or told me -
about what you were planning
Your lack of faith in our friendship
is what I see as truly damming.

(And the professional side)

Under what do I file this?
This question of morality?
The idiots lucky does he know,
he's lucky there was no fatality
He did it for love, I'm sure,
but there's no check box for that here
so I've got to ask the questions
of him before he'll disappear.
How will the squad take this?
What'll it do to morale?
When it came right down to it
he acted like a flamin' feral!
He committed an assault on us
by breaking our trust worse
than the wolves and the ones
injured by something called 'cornhole'?
There's... no index for any of this.
There's no international agreement either
for which Officer Fido can be thankful.
It's his way out of this palaver.
I've no interest in him with a cat
He's a good officer, not just a friend.
If we don't leave the line at that,
his career is the only thing that'll end.
You're out of here, on your ear,
for a time you are suspended.
Be grateful my friend, and warned
that next time? You'll be ended.

Kevin looks cute when he's being curious about Fido's relationship to Sabrina~
Anyway, good to see that the K-9s are indifferent to the relationship. Now to see what the other pets think about this- although I'm more curious to know Fox's and Max's take on the matter.

This may just be one of my favourite strips of the entire comic. Mainly for the conversation between Fido and Ralph. I like the fact that Ralph was most concerned about the fact that is Fido had warned them, they could have avoided all the fighting, and the paperwork/legal issues it provided.

Then Kevin comes in and just makes the entire strip extra hilarious.

Fido gets a three week vacation, now that is awesome truthfully. ^^After all I think he deserves that vacation, after what he has been through. He will probably hang out with Sabrina, dodge Bino or take his brother's words that will surely come. But yeah I'm happy to see Ralph is understanding truthfully. ^^ A very fair cop indeed.

Dawn of the final year. Six months remain.

Cookie for anyone who gets the reference.

The rest of the pastry shop for anyone who knows what I’m even talking about.

I can just picture Sabrina dragging Fido along to temporarily be a part of the Imaginate troupe during his three week leave.

Well, at least the department's cool with Fido's...preference. I imagine public opinion would be split though; half either wouldn't care or be supportive for at least manning up about it, and the other half would be more discriminatory. Or maybe the whole "everybody loves Fido" (excluding Bino) thing will stick. I don't know. xD

...At this point, Fido really should spend the next three weeks alternating sweet snuggles with kicking his own butt for not trusting his squadmates on this issue. he can't even kill Bino, because he chose not to trust Ralph and the others.
I love the ambiguity of Ralph's statement about saving bruises and paperwork: it may either mean that the K9U could have helped Fido or stopped him before he even showed up at the wedding. True fair cop^^

I'm not quite sure that "Administrative Leave" counts as "vacation", but Fido having more time to spend with Sabrina can't be that bad of a thing. That and it gives him time to do some damage control with the rest of the neighborhood.

That's one way to break the ice on the subject, Kevin.

You're the most charming young woman of them all ;_; *walks away grumbling, covered in bruises*

But for the sake of remaining on topic

Yeah, really. It could have drawn the punchline from the simple fact that this entire situation could have been avoided, but instead let that fact really sink in and drew the most humor from Kevin showing up and being his amazing self.
