Sorry. xD Had to edit the post a couple of times because I forgot to keep it PG for a second.

Anyway, it's a webcomic written and drawn by an artist with the pen-name "Chu". In one of the pages where we learn more about the angelic culture in that universe, one of the examples of "swearing" in their language was using the phrase, when translated, "you son of a charming young woman".

Huh...so he did. Good memory. I completely forgot about that. xD

Pretty sure it was just coincidence - it's a decent, funny way to avoid a swear. I'd have to look for the page itself, compare dates, and (assuming you made the quote first) ask the artist herself to really get to the bottom of it though.

I can just picture Sabrina dragging Fido along to temporarily be a part of the Imaginate troupe during his three week leave.

Now that you mention it, I can to and that would be awesome. ^^ Fido joining the Imaginate troupe.

SD Page 553 @ October 31st 2012, vs. HP #42 Not All Dogs: Did it Hurt @ May 2nd 2011. Considering the large gap, I'm going to guess coincidence.

Ah...and it seems I was mistaken, as well. It was "you son of an ugly woman" in SD. Sorry about that.

Yup, 553. October 31, 2012

Plus, it looks like it isn't the same quite anyways. "Son of a charming young woman" here on Housepets (from King), and "Son of an ugly woman" on SD.

Oops, little slow on my part. Oh well, mistakes were made, and fixed. All is well in the world.

I love how supportive Ralph is in his own deadpan way. I have a police officer for an uncle and a cousin (not the uncle's son) who pretty much had this same conversation after he 'came out of the closet' so to speak. 'If it ain't illegal, It ain't a problem.' He would say.

Wow, everyone seems to react with even less surprise than I expected!

Even though Ralph has always been pretty professional, I still find it strange that he is behaving so professionally in a private conversation with Fido.

Weren't they best buddies? Why does is Ralph so distant, then?

At any rate, it's not over until the fat lady sings....... or the word "end." appears in the strip.

I love the ambiguity of Ralph's statement about saving bruises and paperwork: it may either mean that the K9U could have helped Fido or stopped him before he even showed up at the wedding. True fair cop^^
I don't completely agree. There are just somethings that everyone are afraid to share with their inner most circle of friends and etc. Heck I have ONLY ONE true friend and I'm afraid to tell him things like that I'm a Brony and a furry. Because I don't know what will happen. I've known him since the first grade in 1999 and we both graduated high school back in 2011. We've been best friends for over a decade and I'm afraid of telling him things about me he doesn't even know. Out of fear of what will happen, this is how I feel that Fido felt like.

But seriously, he's definitely one dog to have certain priorities. But his speech, formal as it was, sounded of friendship in its own way.

Not necessarily. Sure, Bino will enjoy torturing his brother out of the Club (provided Fido has not become a true hero for the pool stunt by then), but now Fido can love Sabrina without any fears for his job as cop anymore. PLUS, he may get to become best buddy with Peanut and Grape, yay!^^

I'm surprised Ralph's okay with it. In fact, it almost sounds like he wishes Fido had told him sooner.

Can't elaborate much since typing this on a phone, but regardless of if the arc is over or not...I think I'm actually a bit disappointed. Just seems too convenient that nothing, it seems, is going to happen; excepting three weeks of leave (reward?) Fido doesn't really have to face any consequences. There is probably more in store and I may be getting ahead of myself with this, but what about Fox and Fido? The GDC? And exactly when was it implied that Ralph had been monitoring/observing Fido like this?

Will write more later, I did enjoy the comic really!

This strip makes me wonder if Ralph is some kind of robot or something. I get that he was suspicious, but he seems so... hollow...
Don't get me wrong; I think he's a good character and has good morals. I just don't see any compassion or emotions. (except his anger when he flipped out at the wedding...)

I really don't get Kevin's question. It could be my headache messing with me, but the "chasing" doesn't make sense. (man, my head feels like I've been hit for real...)
Is it that Kevin is assuming Fido likes Sabrina for the exercise?

He's clearly a no-nonsense sort of police dog that takes his work seriously. It's a pretty understandable character, the way I see it.

No, no... he's referencing the trope of dogs chasing cats. He's always been a bit "simple," so he doesn't quite understand what a strange romance like Fido's and Sabrina's would entail.

I don't think that Fox really has such a big problem with Fido's relationship with Sabrina. Him not liking 'catlovers' was just following Bino in the past. Probably he will fine with the relationship itself, if he thinks about it, and he has had a little time already. There will be a bigger problem with the fact that Fido didn't inform him earlier.
King will have a similar problem with Fox in the future. Wonder when this secret will be revealed.
