She should really listen to him... you know, the Limmerick guy is reminding me more and more of Cassandra from Greek Mythology. So profound and prophetic, yet no one takes heed.

Way to bring the point home Rick. Candy Cane and Santa hat~

Let us hope her heart melts after this arc.

Each and every fandom I've participated in. A lot of us have noticed.

Anyway, now that I think about it, I think this is the first time the old man has been irritated by someone on-panel.

Been a while since last time I posted something here.
Good to see that old man again, I love this guy. :D
What a long nails he have! And are those fleas?

Seriously, there has been a lot of romance lately in this comic. If you think about it, everyone in the main cast excluding Keene are currently in relationships. We've even seen marriages and characters having offspring. Could be just me, but it seems like this comic is losing the innocence that used to have long time ago. :?

Romance isn't the be all and end all of life but it tends to happen. The characters age and develop (and change shape ;) ) as time passes. But it keeps the innocence due to the fact that we never actually see anything leading to the arrival of the offspring. Housepets isn't 'timelocked' as some strips are and romance leads to plot and confusion and fun. (How old would Detective Tracey be now?)

What about Fox, Tiger, Marvin, Rex, and Ralph? They don't have girlfriends. (though in Fox's case, that might change)

Letting aside Fox, none of them are main characters, and we have seen Fox in the focus of romance recently (remember Love and War?).

I'm not saying romance and have children are a bad thing, it's just it doesn't seems to fit as how the comic used to be before. I used to see them as kids back then and now I'm not feeling like I can do that anymore. Some characters has changed way too much since then, King and Grape are in the top of that list.
Of course I know how interesting could be a plot with a touch of romance, but I think this resource has been overused. Honestly, I'd prefer to see more arcs like the water balloon war or the case of aztec gold, each of them based in different yet very interesting kinds of plots.

Yes I do remember. Hence why I said Fox not having a girlfriend might change.

Not since, I'd say, "The Case of the Atzec Gold"?

Let's see...
Jeck? (with the 'Je' pronounced like the French "Jacques")
Zess?
Ackica...(I like that one...it reminds me of Ace Ventura)

...Hmm, an herbivore and a scavenger? The dinner table scene would be interesting.

I guess that min=minus and rick=limerick.

No, you're definitely not the only one. I was even thinking of making a text-edit fan-panel.

But, the point of a limerick is that the lines 3 and 4 are shorter than lines 1, 2 and 5.
So, no, I am quite unhappy. Possibly even displeased, though I'm not sure I'd go that far. :P
(oh wait, that should be :x )

I believe, it refers to minimalist art. Min-rick then is the minimalist name for the minimalist limerick. :D

Are you full of fleas like he is?
No, I'm not, I go to the Miltons and jump into their olympic sized solid gold bath. Keene doesn't know, I just remove the "No foxes beyond" sign, Karishad sometimes joins.

Ah, Jessica the Opossum playing the die-hard atheist role. This may turn out to be an interesting Christmas story arch.
