Well, that was a bit under-dramatic, I was expecting something a bit more eventful...

You know... I've actually been wondering about this. If I remember correctly, this might be the first DIRECT on-screen interaction between King and Peanut (though they've been in the same strip), which I wanted for sometime. I think that might be the single best interaction ever. XD

Also... Sub-Zero. that is all.

AN DUH MARK! I counted down to when it turned 12, and it was posted!

Peanut, YAY!!!

Joel looks good in shady-wear.

Let's hope Peanut shows up again later in this arc, X3

I blame it on Stockholm Syndrome. Yep, definitely what they will blame Fox of succumbing to.

Ooo, Peanut enters the picture!! I cannot WAIT for this to hit big! :D

I wonder if it is on television or something.

This comic gives me anxiety. Like I wish Rick could use magic and just post 20 strips a day ;w;

Alright! Personally, I'm glad Fox is doing his best to help King, rather than just let the police have him. Also, is it just me, or is it a bit touching and cute that King is using Bailey's Neckerchief for his disguise? :)

The arc's had some dark moments, but now things appear to be making an upward climb...can't wait to see what happens next!

Huh. I thought there would have been some sit down time between fox and Joel. I guess they decided to get down to business. And it looks like all the others involved are on the ball.

Yeah,

but that's kind of how this comic goes.

It beats you with heartbreaking panels one day and two days later makes you chuckle.

I'm going to have to agree with Joel here about Peanut. And what a way to warn your boyfriend, Sabrina. At least he respects her wishes more than she's willing to risk.

Did Tarot's Grandmother give her the thing that she doesn't know what it is?

I'm assuming that Sabrina either is at the battle between the two of them or getting something to help Tarot. However if she is actually at the fight I don't get why Pete didn't just bring King along. I liked how King is using Bailey Neckerchief though.

Agreed, that's Housepets! for you.

Also, I was reading Romatically Apocaliptic stuff a few minutes ago and I just realized Joel's second secret identity:

Well Rick stated that he would try and make this arc go along quickly as possible, as there are readers who apparently HATE/are tired of the idea of the game and how it's dwelled on, so there probably was sit down time planned in the beginning, but Rick probably edited it you to make the pace of the comic and story arc go quicker.
I personally think that he's doing a fine job!

Man, if Peanut is watching the Bailey/Tarot fight right now...

Why do I get this funny feeling that everyone that is watching this fight isn't dreading it, but rather enjoying it ~ like a WWF match?

I know Fido not being invited wouldn't make any sense, but I just can't chuckle at the idea of Sabrina saying "It's on illegal cable"

Oh no question hes kicking some serious tail i mean the last page melted my heart and now im feeling that go-get Bailey-back attitude happening now!

Well, it was one exposure over five years earlier...would dogs in our universe remember the scent of one person they were in contact with for about two hours or so five years earlier?

Fox bites back his bile and talks to Fido,
one betrayer at his back; another in front.
Sabrina rules the roost where she plays the fates
and knows the truth lies in a popcorn bowl
that'll mean trouble for both their plates.
King Joel faces all he once rejected
and Prince Fox faces all his own fears
First 'evil' Joel is revealed and Fido confronted;
now the wondrous, garrulous, Grape,
most powerful 'old enemy' is met whilst daunted.
Peanut reveals Tarot left him well,
better than Joel, who's just a shell.
The gift Tarot gave, will it win the game?
Will it make Joel wild or will his hope regain?

Is it just me or wouldn't wearing that much cover in the middle of the day make King/Joel more suspicious. XD

That 'thing' must buried somewhere in the snack pile. :D

Wonder how long it takes before someone uses the Fido image in panel 2 for an icon. Not sure which is cuter, his secret-agent-passing-on info pose or Peanut's adorable tiny apple drink box.

Poor Fox. Forced to confront Joel, Fido and the most powerful of the 'Old enemy' in one arc - 'coz Grape's gotta be in that house somewhere.

I'm just guessing the wolves didn't have much else for him to wear, and it surely beats his prison uniform.

Guess it was ether that or the "Sniff the Cook" apron/ Poncho's poncho/Daryl's Yellow hat combo.

Figured as much. Disguise, trying to find Tarot/Sabrina, but I expected more bonding between Fox and Joel at the......Wolves' home? How did Joel get out of there without sounding any alarms like, "We have an intruder! How did he get in here?!". I'm guessing Fox convinced them, considering Joel has that get-up. Love the use of the handkerchief, being a symbol of Bailey, but I wonder if it smells different to him now that he's a human. :P

Anyways, so based on the note, Sabrina just wanted them to head to the Sandwich residence. I wonder what the thing is.....and is it safe that Joel be there? Maybe it's just to pick up whatever that thing is so they'd be on their way, because unless they are gone, Mr. & Mrs. Sandwich may think it's odd for a human in disguise to hang around their place. What if they found out it was Joel, the dognapper? I guess Fox would vouch for him, considering he was the dognapped.

About the thing. Is it meant to help Joel? If so, then that would make my assumption of Joel not being "in the game" anymore possible, since Tarot/Dragon couldn't help him before.

Anyways, this is great. Keep up the good work, Rick.

Wow this arc is great though i think the heart-to-heart with Joel and Fox are something people have been waiting for, but i understand if the arc needs to "get on with it so to speak". So to fill in some blanks here... Possible conversation after reveal.

*Fox- I...don't understand this but... I know...

*Joel- I am the same dog... well mental wise anyways.

*Fox- Ok... King... Where is Bailey?

*Joel- BAILEY! Look i'll explain everything to you later right now i need to get to Sabrina's place.

*Fox- Why?

*Joel- Again i'll explain later.

*Fox- Ok i guess. You need a disguise if you don't want to get arrested...agian.

*Joel- This is awkward for you isn't it?

*Fox- You have no idea.

 Well that satisfied that huge blank spot cant wait to see the next installment :3

I'm thinking its a transportation device.

Joel: We need to find out where the duel is taking place, and a way to get there.
Fox: Great. I can't get you across town, how do we get half way across the world?!?
( Peanut fumbles with the device, activating it. The three of them and a napping Grape suddenly appear infront of a sign DUEL TODAY! 7000 years in the making! Pete bobble heads for the first 1,000 arriving!)
Joel: Well, that was easier than expected.
Device: Thank you for using Dragon Astral Travel Service.

Alt Text: This better be a dream I'm having Peanut!

Or is peanut going to use his vivid imagination and/or reading skills to get them there?

If the duel is fought in subjective time, how would mortals view it? The thing starts and a minute later it's over like Pete's sentence?

What if Bailey was indeed pregnant, and then gone (to her) almost a year?
