Is it just me or does anyone else here get the impression with this strip that Pete doesn't seem all that concerned with winning the duel?

Anyone else think Pete looks like he'd be working as an Operator for Divine IT? Guess he has to pay for tuition somehow. ;)

Okay, now it's pretty funny!

And apparently they have both the board and online version of the game. Might be a tad overkill.

But then you would have to wash the same shirt everyday. And if you're traveling and the place for some reason doesn't have a washer, it'll show eventually.
I think the computer version looks cooler.

Well, true, we have viewable environments, but I would think there's a certain charm to board games. This does make keeping up with stats easier, too, I would imagine.

Pete's room feels like a college dorm room. Pete is being rather cool headed about the duel. Then again, Bailey just sent Tarot flying halfway across the continent.
There is always a mystical adventure awaiting you. You just have to find it and take the first step into epicness.

it's all about perception of the mind, so they could be just be luminous floating blobs for what we know. All we see is what THEY want us to see. And thus can their game switch from board game to Playstation mode in complete apparent randomness.

This strip cracked me up so much, and I don't even know why.

Pete's just the best strategist, isn't he, locked in a battle of life and mortal life(?) and he can't even reveal his advanced tactics to his own troop.
Unless he doesn't even have a battle plan at all. In that case, Pete would be a big 'noob'. Who knew?

Back with Bailey. Do your best in the battle, Bailey, don't care about Pete which is evidently playing also with you and your patience, the important is win (or not?). ;) So Tarot went in retreat so far away, it could be taken as a defeat... :P This time Pete is looking cool in a so nerdy theme. :D He looks a call center operator in the second panel. That kind of taunt joke doesn't work between you pets, and believe me, for you pets the adoption is only a great thing for your life. ;)
ZeroTheFated wrote:Did anyone else notice that in the second and fourth panel Pete's shirt changes?
Yes, probably he did a fingers snap to change the print during the time of the third strip. ;)

It's because of the privacy given by your own room, you do what you want in it and it tells a lot of you (reminds me of Room Raiders TV show). :P Yeah, also Dragon's room look is similar (was a mess!), but well, they're indeed the Cosmic Nerds. How would Great Kitsune's room look? :P

Well, technically the Wolf family is "owned" by the Ferrets. And Keene put King in the care of the Wolves, so... kind of both.

With Pete's personality, wearing a black suit and tie would make him seem like he's in the Mafia.
