We've seen that appearances in HP heaven can be altered...cosplayer's dream come true... so they could be anything or anyone...
My question is exactly what are these beings wanting to do with Fox? I mean, are they demigods, wanting to create worlds? Pete kind of said that was possible. It would be interesting if they were also mortals visiting HP heaven on a separate storyline. If that was the case then Fox could have a real girlfriend waiting for him when he gets back. (Even if she is Jessica in disguise or something...nah...Jessica couldn't have that good of an alter-ego, could she?)
But seriously, without getting sick or religious, is it possible for those in the HP heavenly realm to...*ahem*...(how to keep this PG...) have relationships? Or is it possible for Fox and his new friend(s) to request they all go back together? I don't want Fox to be crushed again when he has to leave.

Can we play a game? Fox's new girlfriend (and her bff) need names! Let's see if Rick will let us pick them! I lead with the pink one being named Angela! (Yay!) (I figure that when she reached HP heaven she donned the wings and cute, fluffy appearance to match the name)

I think Fox did actually get himself the new body. If you look closely at panel one, you'll see that his pectoral and abdominal muscles are slightly more defined, as compared to, say, the previous strip. Also, the alt. text kinda suggests Fox's change of appearance.

This is actually kind of sad, knowing that he can only find love with a fantastic body. We all love Fox for his character, and I would say he deserves someone who sees him for that, and not for something as simple as appearances. Some may say that appearances are everything, but I digress.

Need? Good question, @ArcWolf. Well, someone needs to watch over Heaven's -- ah -- guests. I would hardly say that Cerberus, for instance, was unemployed. Originally the guardian of the underworld (and Pete's de facto jailer); most recently she was given the job of Messenger. Perhaps Fox' little groupie party works in Hospitality (sorry, I live in a county where the largest employers are casinos).

Thank you so much, @Argent, for the tip on the Doctorow story I somehow missed. The basic tenet reminded me a bit of an even earlier story by Frederik Pohl, The Midas Plague. The closet thing I can think of is the Narnia books/movies. No matter how much time they spend in Narnia no time passes in the "real" world. On the flip side, 1 day in the "real" world could be hundreds of years in Narnia.

Well ya, Its probably just coincidence, but I sent Rick an email a few days ago that asked why Fox couldn't just give himself a new toned body kind of like what King did. But good point though.

How about this: He has a girlfriend up in Heaven. King comes back to Earth with Fox. Then, Fox tells Sasha he had a crush on her. She says Kevin is helping her solve her problems with her abusive father. Fox goes to Kevin and tells him what he thinks about Sasha. Kevin understands. Fox asks Kevin if he can still be friends with Sasha, to which Kevin agrees. The two become friends and Fox asks if he can become a K-9 officer. That's how I want this arc to end.

Although I'd simplify the note to:
