Probably right when Pete is about to win a boss battle against Dragon, and then when he is about 3 seconds away from winning, he gets summoned to the courtroom.

I know you can always use a picture editing tool and Chroma-Key out the words. Its king of a complicated process but it might work.

I think what makes it for me is the third head's ears sagging, the first time I believe any of the heads have shown emotion that way. Plus the way she's not just kneeling but has each foot on its side, also looks like she shrank herself a little to be able to hug him.

On the other hand, It looks like King is getting hugged against one of the spikes in Cerbs' collar, which apparently don't go all the way around to the back of her neck

Perhaps. Authors do it sometimes, even without realizing.

I kind of like the idea. I respect Rick and his work and if he wanted to insert himself into a character I think this would be a good time to.

Except that age is not related to real world time, despite the passing of the seasons. If he was 5 at the beginning, he's probably still 5 now.

Do you have Word Of Rick on that, because I never got that impression... I got the impression that time was passing in Babylon Acres pretty much how it looked like it was passing.

So my best guess is that the Housepets Universe lives in a continuity bubble that is found in almost every cartoon ever. Time/age only progresses when the plot says so.

That's the thing... unlike many comics, HousePets actually has time progressing one year in the comic for every year in the real world, with comic seasons mostly matching real world seasons and with in-world references to time roughly matching (to the year, anyway) when the strips posted.

Yes, and then Cerberus, King, Fox, and his new friends all went for ice cream. That could have been "We (Cerberus) should take them to this", or "We (the whole group) should go to this". This one is the first time, I believe, that Cerberus has made a reference that could only be describing her.
