Lol . I think the only reason we Grape's head and not Max's is because she has a pillow while Max is most likely snuggling with her chest. Grape's neck must be hurting if she has her head like that. Also, we can not be sure they were asleep to begin with.

Think of it, she is flying here, and she loves Max. Max has that great big grin of his, and Grape, being the Tooth Fairy, was attracted to his grin first, and then she fell in love. This is the best explanation for everything, there is not a more logical argument you can make.

Taking into account Grape is usually asleep when Peanut does this, I'm taking a safe bet they were both napping. And Grape could totally sleep like that all night without trouble.
Also, my bet is he's either sharing the pillow with his face or laying on her chest or tummy. My guess is the tummy. X3
