I don't think so, they already had someone to do this for them (Zack is very gullible, as we have seen). Also, someone who would be a convenient scapegoat in case the ring got recognized as stolen (what I think it is).

I don't think they do, but they have seen him as the opener before. That is why Trinket says that the rabbit looks familiar.

I agree there. Another character just there doesn't do much. Being a con artist gives him more personality to follow. If Bino wasn't mean to everyone, would anyone really love (or hate) him?
