I think King only decided to go full description spoof after Peanut mentioned being 'but a man'...

A bitter King makes a better Deer
as questions rise to the fore
Like 'how do I get outta here'
and 'why aren't my feet on the floor?'
Talking wise, with hidden eyes,
Blitzen rises high to score;
teaching noble George how the Reindeer flies
as has never been done before.
They're all magic guys with magic reins
as into the sky they roar;
just so long as a little Elf deigns
to open up the stable door...

Yay, King! It's good to see King is staying active in the canine community. It is sort of funny to see him talking to a dog pretending to be a human-turned-animal. :P

Biology can have that effect on people (even fake biology).
Hey, Rick, I think you spelled "sebaceous" wrong - that is, unless it was intentional.

KINGY!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
This is the first time we saw Peanut and him directly interacting, and it is as much as fun as I'd hoped to be. 8-)
Also, Reindeer biology is disgusting. Merry Christmas.

Oh, and Peanut is spot on with his timeframe. 'It's a Wonderful life' is from 1946 and Rudolph was first written about - thus created - in 1939. So 7 years.

If you mean in my post, Peanut states that, for him, Rudolph was only invented about seven years ago. As he's a character from a 1946 movie, he's correct.

Oh, no, I totally got that when he said it.
I meant the whole thing going on where Peanut has apparently been transformed into a reindeer and they're doing this random stuff...

I don't know, but he knows all about being a human turned into an animal.

And, hey, Peanut used "literally" correctly. Rudolph was literally invented 7 years before George.

It figuratively gets my goat when people use it wrong.

I also hate it when supermarkets put up signs reading "X items or less". It literally bothers me.

Did Rick run out of room for Peanut/George/Rudolph to say 'Are you joking?' in the third panel? Just seems odd for King/Blitzen to start out saying 'Yes, I'm joking!' In the fourth.

Unfortunately they literally redefined it to be acceptable to use as a figurative expression.
Which means we now need to invent a new word that means literally as an actual fact rather than literally as an ironic emphasis.

I'm getting the sense that this whole imaginate is just Flight of Dragons with the relevant details replaced by Christmas stuff. And hilarious sarcastic quips.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Yeah, this is the very first time they interact, but just from Peanut's point of view, and with Joel/King in his canine form :) :

Looks like King is improvising the reciting, and he's doing it better than Tiger. :) First time we see he's talking with Peanut, but if their future talks must continue in this so complicated way, that's totally unnatural for Peanut, maybe is better make it the last too (or, they could do them in private). ;) Funny see that King is giving of an human to Peanut. :P It's always a magical thing, indeed, and say that previously you even asked for it and got a bag full of it... Just start to use these magical powers! I don't think that Christmas is going to be saved... :P

At least King didn't suggest red bull... But yeah, the biology of ungulates in general is not a great dinner conversation.
Anyway, I'm really loving all of this; a little bit of everyone getting a say in the matter. They really should turn Peanut's idea into the next Christmas movie... Complete holiday chaos

Are those the scientific terms?

It is great to see Peanut and King interacting, I love it. It also shows that King is willing to be there and do stuff with the other dogs. Guess he is starting off after choosing to stay a dog.

That, or Fox dragged him there and he would rather be somewhere else.
I love it how King is lecturing a dog pretending to be a human who turned into (fused with) an animal. :D

Oh yeah, forgot about that Arc. I need to read through the comic again.

Seems like he is choosing roles that don't require much. He was probably just in the last one because Bailey was there.

They were both squatting to avoid the imminent speech bubble wall, and during that time Peanut must have said it under his breath.
