I am telling you that Kingley's kids will not be Dragon and Pete. If they are, I'll lead the angry mob to Rick myself.

You know, like the lousy Little Mermaid sequel where what's-her-name wants to be a mermaid, and it's implied it's because her mom was one.

Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

I believe a Nostalgia Critic video referred to that as a "human-y."
Hilarious part was that it was Fox McCloud.

Let's not threaten other members.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I am telling you that Kingley's kids will not be Dragon and Pete. If they are, I'll lead the angry mob to Rick myself.
Yes, exactly. The Skinnies were cool. I was disappointed they weren't in the movies (as far as I know), as they were in the novel.Buster wrote:what, like those green skinned aliens from the CG starship troopers cartoon?
It'd totally be fair to King!CosmicCoyote wrote:I find it quite amusing that Kitsune says that incarnating Pete and Dragon as the coming pups would be unfair to Bailey, while mentioning nothing about whether it would be fair to King to be stuck raising the celestial siblings.

Oh but of course! After all, there wouldn't be any puppies if it weren't for those two... right?Dissension wrote:It'd totally be fair to King!CosmicCoyote wrote:I find it quite amusing that Kitsune says that incarnating Pete and Dragon as the coming pups would be unfair to Bailey, while mentioning nothing about whether it would be fair to King to be stuck raising the celestial siblings.

Joel new vessel is a full Corgi, where is his human body?
Carpe diem
Re: 2015/08/26 - Enter Intermission
Well, Joel's body was essentially "molded" into King, so there's no "husk" somewhere, as far as I can tell.

So....
New book title?
"Housepets! You'd be surprised how many mortals are into them."
...no?

Are you thinking what I think you're thinking, Argent?
Are you thinking that GK is referring to furries?
xD That one took a while to click for me.

I was just riffing off "Skinnies" because of the title of that XKCD.

Well now it looks like King can rest easy for the time being.
Until he has to go rescue the others from wherever they were all sent to. XD

I kind of want to see Itsuki having to rescue them.

I have this thing in mind that GK likes to check in on Bailey while King's not around and just hang out with her, while in that Statue form, of course.

And Im sure its something that she would think is such a big deal either which will of course cause King to freak out even more.
Re: 2015/08/26 - Enter Intermission
I'm still kinda itching to know what King's 3rd question actually was.
So if I understand well, the two first questions King intended to ask were:
1) "Since I was human before, will my puppies be half-human?"
2) "Then what about Dragon and Pete? Will they be among our puppies?"
So let's imagine that King's actual 3rd question was indeed "But what about me being human for so long, and then being into dogs? Isn't that weird?"
Kitsune's answer ("It's not weird") apparently answers this alleged 3rd question perfectly.
In the 4th panel, King tells Kitsune "That wasn't my question": this sentence doesn't exclude the fact that his true question might've been something along the lines of that kinky stuff Kitsune suggests (although it could simply be Kitsune’s suggested image that makes him blush).
However, mind-reader Kitsune afterward confirms (in the 4th panel) that that kinky stuff was NOT King's question, since he does not answer King’s “That wasn’t my question” by “Yes it was”.
Even more so that Kitsune knew King was nonetheless thinking about that kinky stuff, hence why he teased King with “It’s not weird”. My point is that Kitsune’s answer, which was meant to embarrass/tease King, has thus probably nothing to do with King’s actual 3rd question.
Then what was it?? I gots to know!

I originally thought so too ^^ That kinda makes sense, considering that he's about to ask while "connecting" his indexes, looking a little shy/embarrassed.Wolfbane wrote:I'm pretty certain the last two panels are referring to the fact that King was human for a very long time and as such he was thinking about whether or not being into dogs was normal for him.

Maybe that was it! XD Since his previous questions were about his future puppies, then it kinda makes sense the third one also was. But then again, maybe it wasn't.Buster wrote: and here i thought he was worried one of the pups would wind up being some kind of reverse-furry cause he used to be human. (what do you even call that?)

Re: 2015/08/26 - Enter Intermission
My impression ... I'm eager to be corrected ... is poor King may have gotten so flustered, anxious, and embarrassed by Kitsune's mind games that he forgot his third question. The cosmic Fox knows where all the corgi's buttons are and he plays them faster than a jazz master.
Bailey seems to have a much more benign view of Kitsune, even suggesting ol'Nine Tails might be a good babysitter for their new puppies. King, of courses, reacts with horrified paranoia. (Kitsune and the puppies ... Oh, there's a saga awaiting the telling !).
Just some unhelpful thoughts .........
Regards.
