There's something I don't understand: why didn't Peanut tell Max and the others earlier about Grape going to be (or being) catnapped by the tribal cats? As soon as Peanut realized that he unintentionally had just led potential catnappers to catnap Grape, he could have told Tarot straight away, so as to follow the catnappers to see where they're taking Grape (though trying to prevent the catnapping, with or without Tarot, Max and Sabrina, would've been too risky, since the tribal cats are perhaps too many (a "mob" according to Grape) and are probably dangerous warriors, and in the next strip, I think Satau explains about Ptah and about how an unsubtle rescue would indeed be risky). Instead, why did Peanut just wait for Max to realize Grape's absence?

Alternatively, Peanut straight away woke up Tarot and explained the situation, immediately after which they went to Sabrina, by which point Max had already discovered Grape's absence and gone to get Sabrina's help.

no, but she's right next to him in the last panel of the comic where he helped the catnapper.
