Great Kitsune.

Speaking of the crown of Lower Egypt:

The deshret now? Wow, this arc has just been a treasure trove of references. Part of me wonders if Rick just did this arc just to show how much he knows about ancient Egypt. :P

Here we meet Ptah the "king"... He has lot of personality, and that hat symbol... At least, he's showing some manners and is organizing a party for Grape, as seems. :) Ehm, can you repeat, please? You said "my queen"? And, you want to offer luxuries in exchange of that? :P Ok, I'm waiting for Maxwell to come in action, then. ;) And referring to him again: yes Grape, you have. :P His appearance reminds of Maxwell, but it can fool you. ;) BTW, what a great priceless expression you've done.

How the heck did that scrawny little thing ever tie with Satau? I thought he would be as big as he was!

Also, could Delusional Steve be a descendant of him? They sure do look similar.

He didn't. He was the "runner up". In a contest of two, that's a polite way of saying he lost.

The ice machine where I work has a scoop that looks just like Ptah's hat only it's blue.

The animated signature I've used for years is too big for this forum! When I get time, I'll have to deconstruct it and make it smaller!

I wonder if he has an owner. Nah, someone with a hat that awesome needs no owner... Please tell me that hat is the great artifact of power.
At least he didn't mistaken Grape for a male.

Since I find Ptah to be an idiot now, I'm going with the hat being the artifact since its just so ugly. Oh Joan Rivers, why did you have to die?

Oh, he's no idiot. You notice he's the one Cat NOT doing any building?

I'm waiting for the part where it's revealed he's got a ton of girlfriends/wives/children. What a lecher.

Why not? Gold has no worth as a metal. Do not assume that the value we apply to gold now is at all like it was back then.

And now i'm hearing his lines in Miroku's voice... Thank you so much for that GC.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Gold was definitely valuable in the late Neolithic.

Not to mention that this is a seemingly animal run kingdom so they could have gotten a surplus of gold while the Egyptians didn't.

Neolithic craftsmen worked with copper, lead, silver, and gold. Copper, silver, and gold were all used for jewelry.
