As far as I know, real world cats don't stand four feet tall on their hind paws, talk or have opposable thumbs. Real World rules don't apply unless Rick chooses them to.

This likely caused him to be drunk, but i suspect it to be water mixed with fish.

I just thought that was simply broth that he was drinking for his dinner.

They hadn't invented wine yet in 5000 BC, and 'unfermented beer' was 'soggy bread dough'. I vote for fruit juice.
