If King is allowed in the delivery room I see one of two things happening. One, King passes out and they carry him out of the room or just move him out of the way (reminds me of the scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where Neville passes out in Herbology and the professor says "Just leave him there.") Or two, King doesnt pass out but instead get his paw crushed by Bailey squeezing it.

Assuming that's even possible for unborn canines and not a superstition, given how genetics works it would be conditions at time of conception, not birth, that would have an affect. Mammals aren't lucky enough to be able to defy their genes after that point, that's mostly just amphibians and a few reptiles.
