I know that. I had just forgotten it. Elaine is the Wolf Cubs maternal aunt and Daryl and OD are their paternal uncles. Jack is their maternal uncle via marriage/mating.

And I should have known better since I made the family tree.

And apparently Elaine's mother doesn't approve of her daughter eloping with Jack. I wouldn't either because one of these days he's gonna steal from the wrong person.

Pups. Kids are baby goats.

Well since pets in the HP! universe are more or less like humans with human rights, I call his children kids.

Hasn't it been stated that pets don't have human rights in this world?

Jack seems to have human wrongs down pat though.

That applies to the United States of America. Animals in other countries may have different status.

Is Feraga a country or a micro nation in a bigger country?

It's a micronation, but really micronations are basically countries even if they are not officially recognized as such, so the distinction here isn't super important

I don't know of any Micronations in this world that would be able to close their borders. I suspect that the word has a different meaning in the HP world.

Well, if they're somewhat out of the way and suitably self-sufficient, they could probably redirect people who have crossed their claimed borders fairly easily. If they don't raise too much fuss about it, they will remain a problem too small to deal with. Alternatively if they are capable of holding their own in a battle, they could essentially do whatever they wanted within their claimed borders, and none of the neighboring countries (or encircling country) would likely feel inclined to deal with the issue of enforcing their official rule over the area. Alternatively they might have some recognition of statehood by enough entities with enough combined power that it might be a political nightmare to do anything but leave them alone.

In this world, real nations only put up with Micronations that don't actually do anything nation-like beyond issuing stamps and currency for collectors. Governments also accept a certain amount of bombast about "we don't pay taxes we make an annual gift out of friendship" so long as when you come down to it they actually pay taxes.

We call those kinds of states "nations", not "micronations".
