I feel like the story was about to set up a bigger deal, but it was kinda rushed for a Christmas ending.

That was amazingly done, focusing on King's reaction to each of his pups being born...and to have him pass out at the possibility of a fourth.

So now Bailey and King now have three happy four month olds for Christmas.

Interesting choice of names, particularly when the one boy of the three is named after a chess piece, and one of the girls could named after a card (since both have Kings). Olive could possibly be more closer to Bailey somehow?

Years of waiting have lead to this moment. Years. When you think about that from the aspect of this comic being updated three times a week that is a lot of updates. It's so exciting to see how things will go with the new parents.

I'm especially curious to see what the reaction is from the rest of the neighborhood. I just know Sashay will shower them in love. And Fox too. Though I can't help but feel like Bino will say or do something stupid. Like really stupid.

If Kitsune did do that, the last thing he would do is tell them. He'd want them to get to know their kids before without any pre-judgments based on actions of the soul from a previous life. Its possible that if the duo was reincarnated here King and Bailey will never know. Its possible they would have had reincarnated souls anyway, and it wouldn't be totally unfair to Bailey.

I'd say anythings possible in that regard. But I do suspect we'll see Pete and Dragon again soon, one way or another. After all, why else would Kitsune hang around?

Reincarnated Dragon and Pete are bound to return. But NOT as part of King's family. That strip was put there for the explicit purpose to put at ease King's and our worries on that matter. Furthermore, Kitsune showed to be the most benevolent entity -granted, one with a twisted sense of humor, but benevolent nonetheless. He wouldn't just involve innocent new lives for the sake of a game that is over and done.
Just enjoy the fact that everyone's favorite corgi deserved to become a happy daddy, with no side effects^^
Oh, and Kitsune is not 'hanging around'. He's everywhere, always, like he usually does.

Basically, all dog breeds with pointed ears have floppy ears that take some month before they straighten up, though sometimes that doesn't happen. Sasha is one of those dogs

Maybe King and Bailey discussed potential names while she was pregnant. I don't know if they used sonograms on Bailey but, if they did, they would have known and could have decided on naming the pups.

Next question is... how much time passed between panels five and seven? The seem quite active for newborns. I guess panel six is a montage of late summer through winter.

I know it's probably not genetically correct, but she resembles Bailey, but with a mix of brown to the dark gray.

Riiight. That would explain the mutt-looking pup but not the Doberman/Rottweiler. I'm sorry but no matter how much you look at it, Corgi + Husky != Doberman/Rottweiler. That's just not how dogs work. If you mix the races, you'll either get the mom or dad's race, a mix or a mutt. Bailey doesn't look like a mix or mutt, and neither does King so that pup's just not possible unless she cheated on him with the proper race.

Nah, there wasn't anyone cheating, the color combination just looks a little strange, but Olive does resemble BOTH of her parents. She has brown in her fur (like King) and black/blueish (Kinda like Bailey).
Also we're talking about a webcomic with a purple cat as a maincharacter and a dog with a heart-spot as one of the sidecharacters. Also think about everything Bino survived. So I don't think that comic is supposed to be too realistic.

Aside from that, I must say the pups are adorable, especielly Olive

The little arc was really funny and heartwarming and fitting to the season, great way to end the year
