Fighting unreality,
sensing the flaws.
Seeing windows
when they're doors.
Sensing wrong
from the right;
seeing darkness
in the light.
Keene wakes
to something wrong
can he resist
the siren's song?
Is this Heaven
or a stolen Hell?
Is the tempting
to sell the spell?
She is your mom;
and yet, she's not
When all is against you,
her love? You've got

Yannow, this arc is turning into all kinds of warm fuzzies, but a stray, mischievous thought did occur to me in the midst of all the heartwarming stuff.

While I rather like Rick's vision of Heaven, the specific virtues and qualities of the place make me really, really want to see what Rick's version of Hell would look like.

Just sayin'. x)

Mhff... I see the cuteness and adorableness, but all I can think of now is if she's an actual person he sees differently or was she entirely made up by Keene's mind.

I know he has to move forward in order to progress the arc, but if he doesn't backtrack at one point, he'll miss the date with Breelpyrus ;_;.

I couldn't reply to the last comic, but I noticed, when Keene saw his mom, he went from an adult to a kit(?) in one panel. It makes me wonder exactly what's going on here. (Just like he obviously is.)

So if Keene sees his own mother as being the perfect young female weasel, is Keene a little kit because that's what his mother sees him?

I'm still figuring out why Keene is suddenly many years younger, aside from being adorable.

Perhaps seeing his mother reminds him of being a little kit again, and due to his current existential crisis, he is feeling emotionally vulnerable and wants that motherly comforting from those days, et voila, the mind makes it happen. I dunno. Explaining is hard

It may simply be a function of their relationship. He sees himself that way around her just as much as she does.

If you recall, a certain canine slowly became more buff the more time he spent with two certain ladies, also a subconscious joint effort I reckon.

Keene's mom has a great sense of pie-logic. Can't argue with that

Although I wonder on what the title of the strip refers. On Keene's mom or on the pie?

Does it involve paperwork? Bureaucracy?

"You lost your collar in the hot tar? Fill out these forms for a replacement."

"That's a block of stone."

"Yes, they haven't updated it since 300BC."

"What do I fill it out with?"

"Oh, here, application for a hammer and chisel."

"But... but... *count count* that's 274 pages!"

Maybe. Depends on if it would be treated seriously or not. Bino seems too easy, but i would love to hear his skepticism on heaven and hell =P

I personally think if it was serious, someone unexpected would go to it.

Daisy would be kicked out (or possibly hired) simply for annoying everyone; all she can apparently say is "Hi, I'm Daisy!"

D'aww, there's so much cuteness in this strip! :D Indeed, Heaven makes everything better, your sensation isn't wrong, Keene. ;) Yeah, I bet you have it, and it's sad see kid Keene say that, which is something that actually happened in his life... :( Eh, I would agree that, it's a very good solution, but too much pies give you more weight, it's not so healthy. :P You're wondering how come your mom is now able to make cakes, Keene? But if you got the reply a while before... ;)
All this is such a lovely and touching meeting with his past. :D
