To be fair, Henry isn't his actual dad, just his adopted one. Keene had a very different relationship with him, perhaps he never met his actual biological father.

Anyway, plenty of ways it could end on Friday, especially regarding the letter. Which reminds me, most of the time that the "wake up" deal was done, it looked like they were put back into their world a little after the events, like when King got it at the party, he woke up in the wolf house after they apparently found him blacked out. It could be inferred with the rest of the cast that got that.
