The joke is that Peanut was using punching (because that's what Spot (superdog) would do) against a boss that was punch-proof.

Oops, I actually overlooked that "immune to" detail. Sorry (long long day). But yeah, that is hilarious and makes perfect sense since it's a ghost armor and all.
