I thought it was a Mexican one until I saw a few of the words used differently. They all tend to follow a certain formula, but some are more enjoyable than others.

I don't think I've heard of telenovelas. Are they like soap operas?

Good job, Gabe.

Come on Marvin, settle down;
Turn your brain off for half an hour.
Watch the top show on telemundo;
Watch the crazy, Mexican, shower.
Remember, as you watch the drivel,
That America has done it best.
As bad as they are nothing comes near
To ‘Sunset Beach’ or ‘Falcon Crest’
You can turn it off in five, we know,
It’s just an addiction, not ‘your show’.
Like Tiger’s your friend and not your bro’
Don’t worry, Marvin, we know; we know.

Yes. I can still name a handful from over the years; Carita de Angel, El Secreto de Amor, Luz Clarita, Rebelde, La Fea mas Bella, and La Rosa de Guadalupe all come to mind. From what I understand, they finish in Mexico before they decide to air it in the States. They typically air on Telemundo, as Welsh mentioned. Univision is another place you could find them. Because of how back-to-back they are, you'll VERY quickly get to know a lot of the actors.

...and why did I go so far in depth?

So are Spanish soap operas that easy to get into?

It's funny, you think at first that the evil twin trope is such a cheap cliche as to be expected of a telenovela until you get Woody Harrelson to do it in the Now You See Me sequel :roll:

Sunset Beach also did it wonderfully.

Nice see again these siblings, and they're still the same, especially Tiger. ;) Oh, Tiger is so lazy that accepts to watch things on TV with a language that he can't understand. Yeah, it's unbelievable. :P But then, telenovelas? Looks like someone else tuned to that channel before him... Isn't there something better to watch? :P
Good work, Gabe Bold. :)

They are soap operas. The literal translation of "telenovela" is "soap opera".

Wait, if the alt-text is in Spanish, then shouldn't "Housepets!" be "Mascotas!"?

...I'd put the proper upside-down "!" if I knew how.

On Windows, hold the Alt key and enter the code "0161".

And that's when Tiger puts on a mustache and reveals that he's Antonio's evil twin. :lol: Nice work Gabe Bold.
