Nothing new for them, King, they'll be fine.

See King, there's nothing to be afraid of.
Re: 2017/02/20 - No Hijinks Allowed
Worst case scenario is your pups are mistaken as gods to some primitive lifeforms and we are chased out of their village for trying to kidnap their deities.
Re: 2017/02/20 - No Hijinks Allowed
They have plenty experience, other dimenssions, celestial beings, time travel... pretty strong resume

At least you're honest, King.

Give it up, oh chicken-hearted Corgi,
you’re never going to fluster her.
Grape has been there and seen it all
she’ll have the shirt somewhere for sure.
Peanut and Grape; Jedis of the strange,
even before you became the strangest.
They’ve dealt with all before them;
now let them engage at your mad behest.
It’s time to unstress, my dear, little, Corgi
or you’ll jump at every call or bark.
That’s no good when you’re at home;
it’s even worse when it happens in the park.
you’re never going to fluster her.

I think Peanut and Grape have a bit more experience to handle such unusual scenarios. Also if something like that would happen, the pups would most likely like it

"Weird things have happened before! What if a five-dimensional portal opens up and sucks you into an alternate universe?"
Somehow I feel like this is simultaneously the best and worst possible choice. Peanut and Grape probably would be better with the pups than any of the others, but, considering the weird stuff that tends to happen around them the pups could also end up in a different dimension.
I KNOW RIGHT?
In all seriousness, though, I wonder which way the arc will go now. Will we follow King and Bailey and see how well (or badly) their night out goes, or will we remain with Grape, Peanut, and the pups, and see exactly how much mayhem (extradimensional/supernatural or otherwise) can occur in four-to-five hours time? Or will we cut back and forth between both?

Or the entirety of the remaining arc is watching King absolutely freak out, and when they finally return, nothing happened.
Worrying over nothing.
Or everything happens offscreen, and everything in between.

Ya know, I actually really like this interaction. Everyone involved in this have experienced the same level of weirdness, so they're just casually talking about it like it's a possible scenario. I never actually thought about how alike their situations were during the U&U Saga were until now, despite them both having their own plotlines in it. I can see why people wanted them to interact for so long now, it's a really refreshing experience. Heck it's almost like a cross over with how parallel their stories were

Surprised he didn't add kidnappers or tactical nukes to his list with a slight chance of plane crashes. Those are the banes of overly paranoid parents. =P

It'd be interesting if there is an actual pup-napping attempt that Grape and Peanut have to deal with in this arc

The kidnapper(s) would need to be incredibly thick to still attempt it knowing Grape is watching them. I'm sure there's a broom in that house somewhere.guru4567 wrote:It'd be interesting if there is an actual pup-napping attempt that Grape and Peanut have to deal with in this arc

i can think of one would-be kidnapper in this comic who is most certainly thick, in at least three senses of the word.
assuming he weaseled his way out of being thrown in prison again.

No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

I don't understand what Grape's going on about. These are perfectly reasonable things to be worried about. It can happen at any time, In any place. so it's better safe than sorry.
Re: 2017/02/20 - No Hijinks Allowed
Ehrm... What weird things are you saying, King? I would say that what happened to you it's old story now, and due to them you chosen to remain a cute dog. Yeah, Grape, he really is! Sounds a good program, it's going to be safe. Eheh, that's good question (I see you're fooling him... ), and yes, probably that solution would work again for you, King, you're now experienced with that. Well, in some way, I bet it's not going to be boring for the puppies and for the Sandwich.

you know, in any other world, saying something like that would make peple give you some very, very odd glances

Bailey probably still knows a few tricks from being Pete's avatar that time.
