The heck kind of an angel is that? Its defiantly not the Judaeo-Christian definition of one, and i'm not sure other religious groups have angels, they tend to have there own spiritual beings.

actually it IS the Judaeo-Christian version. albeit the original one. Seraphim & Cherubim as originally described in the texts they first appeared, are depicted VERY differently than how most people these days think of them.

Those are the Angels of the Old Testament, before the New Testament. As a matter of fact, much of the Old Testament's text is vastly different from the New Testament.

This strip is briefly referencing the angels as described in the Hebrew Tanakh and the Christian Bible (and probably some other subsequent works). Let's not get into a larger theological discussion that most of us are thoroughly unequipped to handle.

As a dude with a very Biblically studious father, I can confirm yeah they're there. Though there are some parts that are up for interpretation, if you're gonna look into it try checking the same verses out in the oldest translations you can find.
