I'm also bothered by furries with curly hair, if they're not a species that has curly fur. Furry "head hair" that could credibly be longer fur or even a mane kinda thing, OK. Obviously human hair? Uh...

I have to agree, human hair on furries looks off and plain stupid IMO. Especially if it's a different colour than the rest of the fur or it's dyed (Why dye the head but not the rest?)

I could see dying the head-fur in imitation of humans if humans are a thing.

I think it depends on the level of anthropomorphism. Sufficiently humanoid furries (normally those that are treated as human stand-ins as opposed to animals in their own world), such as those found in DMFA and CC look pretty good with human-like hair. Though the HPU characters would just look flat out weird with human hair.
