Grape: When do we get the free food?
Jack: I dunno!
Lester: Is there a prize if we get the power source?
Jack: I dunno!
Max: How did you lose your arm?

So Keene's plan is to get a bunch of random locals, tell them it's a game, and send them into the temple with no instruction.

Defining the rules you don't know
is the standard play of old Jack;
questioning his wisdom right away
reduces you from paladin to snack.
Joey and the guys make it difficult
to keep your sanity roll on track.
On <5 they don't see the occult.
On >5 they get an experience back.
The only team without a heavenly
unless you count our Squeak;
One thing you can say bravely
is that little lady isn't meek.

I'm loving this arc so much with this roster.

Wait, we didn't get a Max reaction to Rufus? I was really looking forward to funny reactions to Max noticing he's standing next to a spirit. Especially given Max's previous experience with ghosts.

So currently the teams are:
Keene, Breel, Grape, Peanut, Max, Rufus, Joey, and Joey's nerd friends.
Vs.
Tarot, Sabrina, Fox, Spring, and Summer. (Team Tarot may have some other applicants in the near future to balance the numbers. Maybe a certain rabbit that accidentally started a religion a while back?)

So did no one notice yet there's a fourth, untagged pet on Joey's team? I don't think squeak has that big of a paw

There's also where the white on Res' hand ending/starting being too far down the arm (arm pointing downwards) for the untagged pet's arm to be Res'Not A Furry wrote:It's not the same colour though, and he's unaccounted for in the tags.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:I think the 4th nerd asking questions is Res with that white paw on the left. so not on Joey's teamNot A Furry wrote:So did no one notice yet there's a fourth, untagged pet on Joey's team? Would be funny if the temple is so dangerous everyone has to team up together... and STILL can't even get past the first level. x3Macsen wrote:What could possibly go wrong?Bandit1990 wrote:So Keene's plan is to get a bunch of random locals, tell them it's a game, and send them into the temple with no instruction.

Yeah i agree.... This seems sloppy for someone as calculating as Keene. Not that he hasn't made mistakes before but these guys aren't even being told that the things in there are dangerous. This expedition is a scooby-doo-esk disaster waiting to happen XDGameCobra wrote:Would be funny if the temple is so dangerous everyone has to team up together... and STILL can't even get past the first level. x3Macsen wrote:What could possibly go wrong?Bandit1990 wrote:So Keene's plan is to get a bunch of random locals, tell them it's a game, and send them into the temple with no instruction.

You're being a disaster of organizer, Jack. Ninety-nine floors? It's a temple, not a skyscraper. Source of all powers? Something like that can't exist neither in any imagination. Eheh, all you know about is "I dunno". Don't ask for questions, then. Good, Joey brought his nerdy friends with him, there will so many people in the temple.

Has the temple gotten bigger on the inside since the last visit? Who or what is arranging the interior while the demigods are absent?Cesco wrote:You're being a disaster of organizer, Jack. Yeah, who could be the owner of that fourth paw?
If someone is roleplaying as a thief and ask Jack for advice, would he actually answer differently?
I noticed that Jack's tail fur has grown back.

This is a Live LARP, not a Tabletop LARP. Get your facts straight, pup!
Still, with how this is, it would be stupid if no-one can get past the first level, especially since Keene got through at least two with a small party, and that was with a Balanced party of a Rouge, a Warrior, an Archer, a Healer and a Sorcerer.
Sure, Pete wanted him to get through, but if noone can get through, then this Comic Arc would be pointless. At least one Party would end up at the lowest levels... Or they all will, but won't like what they find. I mean, if they find out there's a real risk of actually dying, Joey and his friends may actually start freaking out when they realise this is not a game.
Keene's making them run in Blind, and besides Keene himself, only Tarot and Sabrina actually know what's going on. Peanut and Grape may have past experiences, but they're almost as blind as the others, with the only difference being that the Supernatural doesn't bother them.
Also, I wonder what the Classes would be. Knowing one of Joey's friends, he may have actually used a Class from a different Genre of game, and I know that since Zach used magic outside the temple meant that the Temple actually leaves 'Gifts' to the ones who enter it, such as certain powers and/or abilities.

My headcanon is that belief is a mana source, so Zach retained his powers after Pete left because the forest animals believe in the Opener of the Ways.John-056 wrote:Also, I wonder what the Classes would be. That would make sense. What would be the point of gathering followers if not as a mana source?Argent wrote:My headcanon is that belief is a mana source, so Zach retained his powers after Pete left because the forest animals believe in the Opener of the Ways.John-056 wrote:Also, I wonder what the Classes would be. It does seem that all powers remain, just at a lesser level, after the game ends.

Re: 2017/06/21 - The Answer, My Friend
The only one that isn't acceptable is the Character Sheet question, since it's a Live LARP, not a tabletop LARP. Tabletop LARPs require the Character sheets, since the players aren't actively playing the full role of the characters, like casting magic or actually using the weapons, while a Live LARP means that you're wearing the gear and items of the character you're playing, so the Character sheets would just be useless here.Liam wrote:Those sound like reasonable questions given the situation, truth be told.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:[2017/06/21 - The Answer, My Friend ]

doesn't the L in LARP already stand for Live though? wouldn't that make the other one TARP or something?
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

I think LARPs have character sheets too, they just have a lot less info. like they'd have hit points and stuff you'd need in a fight, but no items or weapons cause that's all conveyed with props and costume.John-056 wrote:The only one that isn't acceptable is the Character Sheet question, since it's a Live LARP, not a tabletop LARP. actually the LA stands for Live Action, so the Tabletop equivalent would probably be TTRPBuster wrote:doesn't the L in LARP already stand for Live though? wouldn't that make the other one TARP or something?
