As I mentioned in the TG chat, the latter half of this reminds me a lot of a Calvin & Hobbes comic, and I really quite love it.

Maybe it's due to the were-tiger powers.

It has been a long slip down the manhole, but fortunately there's nothing dangerous down there, for now.

Maxwell, Res is a cat like you, and so he can well be able to land on his feet, unlike you.

Dang. Maxwell is not a bad cat at heart, but still, he can be quite the jerk sometimes.
I'm really not into black humor in this webcomic...

Also, two questions:
1) Second time in this arc, he acts as if he met Res for the very first time. Didn't he meet him at the signing?
2) What exactly does Grape mean by "That's not the important thing right now"?

IIRC, Max didn't actually meet Res at the signing, he and Grape split up while they were waiting. Res slipped his note to Grape into Max's book because he remembered her mentioning she came with him, but they didn't actually talk.

I'm pretty sure she is replying to the fact that Max seems less concerned that Res may have died and more concerned that Res didn't get to finish the Pride Lands Series. At least that is what I get out of it.

I'm surprised about it myself. I'd figure he would be like "Get down, Mr. Pridelands author!" or something like that. x3

Though this attitude doesn't surprise me too much. I also can picture in a comedy way that somehow Res's book being ruined is the REAL end of the world. as in - cat revolt.

Yeah, I thought that was the most likely correct answer, but I still had doubts. Thanks for the confirmation!
