Who's gonna be the torch barrier?
Re: 2017/08/02 – Torch Bearer
Don't steal, Max. Otherwise the temple police are gonna come after you.
Re: 2017/08/02 – Torch Bearer
This is a for-profit temple! We don't just give torches out

Of course it is. It's a Milton temple!Frank wrote:This is a for-profit temple! We don't just give torches out
Res is worried they can’t see straight;
Darkness is light to him but why tempt fate?
He comes up with the sensible idea
they should ‘take light’ before leaving here.
Max now wanders to a nearby wall
where light flickers, strong and tall.
The mighty Ninja shall retrieve the light
even if it is putting up quite a fight.
Peanut knows the high cost of pride
especially when running a Milton ride
It takes just the smallest amount of cash
to bring the Ninja down with a crash.

Yep, that seems about right.
That's one of the things I love about this comic. Too many things take themselves too seriously these days. It's nice to see something that is just silly.

If Max was going to carry a torch for anyone I figure it would be Grape, not Peanut.

As the light gains purchase, spirits are lifted and purpose is made clear.
Max be like "Do I need a torch to be a better ninja?"

As if we didn't already have enough things with microtransactions...
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Meh, that's so weird, pay to borrow a fire torch. Since it's related with money, probably it's something done by the Milton's... It's always Maxwell who has to catch the bad figures. Yeah Res, that's a cool feature of cats.

...When an how did they install this???
Well, guess even celestials must need Earthly currency from time to time

Stupid microtransactions. I knew there was a reason this was a free-to-adventure temple.
This is not the signature you were looking for. *click* Move along.
Re: 2017/08/02 – Torch Bearer
Possibly the money is required to keep the monsters from taking all the torches. Like, it only accepts quarters, not dungeon coins?

I have a feeling that at the end of this arc, Res' larping experience might be the thing to help him out of his writer's block.

Well i guess this sorta makes contextual seance... i mean, Mr. Milton did move this place block by block to BG. Can you really be so surprised that keene made some profit based changes?

Except remember that the temple has changed its internal configuration (at least once) since it was moved.
Also, those dispensers would have had to been installed very recently, as it's been established that the only one going into the temple was Karishad, who's already on Keene's payroll.

It's an in-development animated series following a team of Anthro-Dogs trapped in the Wastelands of a ruined Earth.

Are you really trying to make sense out of Karishad?Bandit1990 wrote:It's been established that the only one going into the temple was Karishad, who's already on Keene's payroll.
Re: 2017/08/02 – Torch Bearer
It could be like the occult symbol on the wall of Stig's house in Stig's Inferno.
He doesn't know where it came from, it was there when he moved in, even though he built the house.
(also, his piano keeps trying to kill him, but that's probably a coincidence)
By that I mean, when Mr. Milton brought the temple over, it was probably the "just one big room" that Zach referred to.
All the dungeon accoutrements show up when they're needed.

No, they're trying to make cents out of Karishad, clearly. Not A Furry wrote:Are you really trying to make sense out of Karishad?Bandit1990 wrote:It's been established that the only one going into the temple was Karishad, who's already on Keene's payroll.
