...That would be AWESOME! Now I'm trying to imagine an adult human dressed as the Heavy, Duke Nukem, an Excalibur Warframe, Robin Frickin' Hood, a Paladin... The List goes on.

Knowing Rick, he'd either do this, just to basically pull off an overused gag, or they'll actually realize it when they get near the end.

Also, to those who though that white dog was Joey's team? S/he's not there. That means there's more than two teams, it's just that it wasn't that clear. (AKA, Rick's not going to bother adding more Teams when they're either going to be maimed or even focused on.)

And the story continues. Phew! That creepy hand barely caught Dallas... Holodeck? Safety? Nothing of all this, Squeak. Right, maybe that money isn't real, Joey, otherwise Keene had already found a way to take it for himself. Well, you should have your costumes powers, right? And Squeak looks to be a sort of sorceress. They'll come in handy to face any monster there.

It didn't help Tasha Yar, Kirk (yes, his getting red-shirted in Generations counts, even if it was temporary), Jadsia Dax, Harry Kim (twice no less), Sean Hawk or Data... All named bridge officers. and Startrek has never had all that high of a TV or MPAA age rating.

Well, armor doesn't necessarily mean you won't get hurt. Besides, Tasha Yar, Kirk, and Harry Kim all technically survived their on screen deaths.....sort of.

Being saved by temporal shenanigans only counts if the setting allows for those kinds of shenanigans. Also Tasha and Kirk were only back for 20minutes, each, before getting killed off again.

So really only one of the three counts, and Harry spent the rest of his run getting used as a punching bag by the writers.

Oh, also, I forgot Spock. So I guess two that came back and stayed. ...both of whom are major characters who get screen time in almost every episode of their series...

so yeah, red-shirt principle never went away, it just became more of an equal opportunity thing. The other divisions, higher ranks, and named cast don't get immunity, and second chances that stick are super rare and only for series veterans.

Yes, that is how things worked out in Star Trek.

Given the general tone of this comic, I find it highly doubtful that anyone in this will be more than superficially harmed.

I mean, we've gone from THIS arc where Bino falls from a 2nd (or possibly 3rd) story balcony and ends up in a body cast, to THIS arc where he falls from a high cliff into a swift, shallow river multiple times and is "a little scuffed up"

I know he's a main-line antagonist, but he's also the only character who has ever been seriously hurt by anything that's going on. (aside from Keene that one time, and he got out fine, albeit with celestial help)
(I also know that other characters have been shown roughed up, but they are generally fine by the end of the arc, Bino's the only one that's been put in the hospital)

Possibly. I think that snick is old myself but another possibility is that they find out something is real, then beat the thing through hard work and then forget the whole thing because loot.
