Go for it, Rufus! I think you've a chance there, my friend.
The teams break for lunch
down in the pit of doom,
now that they found real food
as Fox made a whack in the gloom.
Heavenlies talk turkey together
as Tarot sulks on her own.
Peanut plays on his game today
as Grape sees how Fox has grown.
The room is fresh for being old;
it’s almost certainly not been cleaner
and the next puzzle for the guys is…
Where, exactly, are Max and Sabrina?

I see Tarot's taking this situation rather well.
"Well gee, that sounds swell!... why cant I see anything?"

I'm sure that joke was in itself a reference to Castlevania.
Though admittedly, it's been called a couple different things. I see turkey and pot roast for the same item on occasion.

%100 certain it's that Castlevania reference =P
Find it very amusing that Mungo is scared of Tarot more than Peanut.

Uh... Mungo being scared of Peanut? Or both Peanut and Mungo being scared of Tarot, with the former merely taking her in stride?GameCobra wrote:%100 certain it's that Castlevania reference =P

Also, Ironic that PETE was the one who gave better food than Keene Milton. Wall Pork (Since Mungo's eating it with no problem) is supposed to be unsafe since it's sealed in the wall for Divines knows how long, and yet it's safer for the stomach than Keene's Bars of Yuck.
Still, this is worrying me. I mean, when the Wolves said they were to be split into teams, it was not four members each, it was just 'Throw All members who want to be in a Group together', which meant that originally, team Sandwich would have been a Three Pet team since the Celestials aren't actually helping in the party in any way, and the Wolves don't count them. Kitsune wasn't actually helping his team either, before anyone asks, since Team Nerd thought the door was part of the temple.
What I'm getting at is that they would have been allowed into the temple anyway, since the Wolves allowed just about anyone in as long as they had likely more than two members. Basically, Tarot could have gone with Just Fox, Sabrina and herself, but insisted on Mungo. I mean, he does help, but it's implied Tarot threatened him Mentally into Joining.

I don't think it directly implies that she threatened him. It shows that he's mildly afraid of her, but that could just be by reputation rather than a direct confrontation.John-056 wrote:

If that's the case, what IS her rep? Why would she be terrifying?Bandit1990 wrote:I don't think it directly implies that she threatened him. It shows that he's mildly afraid of her, but that could just be by reputation rather than a direct confrontation.
Then again, Tarot likely only had Sabrina as a friend/acquaintance, before meeting Peanut, the Pointer being good at making friends, which in turn introduced her to everyone else. However, since those moments aren't mentioned, we don't really know, and this recent thing of 'Tarot is Scary' feels rather tacked on as a result, since we never got any backstory on Tarot herself, just that she was Dragon's (Presently) Ex-Avatar.
We don't have a Story or Arc Digging into Tarot's backstory, so it makes it hard to sympathize with Tarot when she's acting like a Control Freak or a Chessmaster. I mean, we know next to nothing about Tarot, while Sabrina had more backstory given to her, such as being the Pet of an Archaeologist who's hardly ever home, is Dragon's Oldest living Avatar, Dated and 'Proposed' to Jata when she was six months old (when she has the mentality of a Six Year old Human) and was made to date Fido to make sure he would not be a Dream Sunderer of Pete's, which in turn, made her fall for the Loyal K9 Officer, a few years before the Events of the Comic, since the two have been dating long before 'Fido Returns'.
As for Tarot... We know nothing about her. We don't see her 'Parents', we've never found her Backstory... We know nothing about her. It's almost like she never even existed before 'N-Ple Date' in the In-Universe story. I mean, the only few that don't, is Daisy, who revealed recently she was acting Dumb, Rex, who's 'Father' we've seen in the first Christmas Comic, having given him a rather good watch, and Mungo, who's new, and yet we know full well is the Descendant of Satau who's inherited his strength and polite demeanor, and picked up a similar sense of justice to his ancestor.

I like the sneaky Lord of the Rings reference that Rick did with this page. Now all we're missing is Tarot saying "I have no memory of this place" and holding an illuminated magic staff.

Re: 2017/10/11 - Wall Chicken
"Good thing Fox attacked that fake wall"
To trick a smart dog like Fox, that fake wall must have been really well designed, with a very realistic image on it.
Unless Fox knew that a fake wall hid snacks instead of a trap... Which I doubt.
Also, gotta love Mungo. I'm so happy he's a recurrent character now!

Hmmm... Now that I think about it, I'm getting SERIOUS FNaF vibes from Tarot now... And now I just imagined the Housepets! Cast as Animatronics.

Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

This kind of reminds me of when you play Skyrim and you go into an old tomb that no-one has been in for thousands of years and you find sacks of carrots and lettuce that are still good.

I'm not surprised that Mungo is afraid of Tarot. She was able to destabilize Satau after all.
Re: 2017/10/11 - Wall Chicken
That's very good, meat is always better than those sucking old bars, indeed. But, how did you get that meat? Which fake wall did Fox attack? Anyway, Rufus is flirting also with the husky angels, that good old dog won't never change. Peanut is always playing his games, instead. Eheh, I see that, Mungo. Yeah, sometimes Tarot is so mysterious and unpredictable to become scary... But, it's good you always like to do your duty for everyone.

King looks an awful lot like my own Corgi. That's one reason why he's my favorite, but I also like his attitude.
Re: 2017/10/11 - Wall Chicken
It is interesting that Mungo is spooked by Tarot since he sure walked through Peanut and Sabrina easily enough when he was in pursuit of Fox and Sasha. On the other hand...well...Tarot's kinda spooky even with the green lights off. (NO Great Gatsby reference intended. Regards.
