as has been discussed to death in the past, Kitsune even having a champion makes no sense. It'd be like the referee having a goalpost to defend from the actual players in a sport, that's not his role.

Oh yes, replace all of Karishad's dialog with "yap yap yap yap yap" and this still works.

CanzetYote, you might be right ... They are both foxes, they're tricksters and jokesters, and we did see them exchange a chummy wave after the Australia gathering when the Pete-Dragon game collapsed and Joel became forever King. They both seem to follow the Intrinsic Benevolence principle despite their stunts.

... and, yeah, "Yap, yap, yap, yap!" works, too.
