Whelp I hope he has a backup place to go because Itsuki is totally getting banned from this place for life.
Re: 2018/01/12 - Splish Splash
Well you could always use the hot tub Duchess.

Is that a public, indoor pool? I'm unclear on this location, or why Duchess would be there at all, she has a pool.
Also, based on the water around him, Itsuki must not come by that often.

I'm confused, by "water's not included," does Itsuki mean there are no bathroom facilities in his apartment, or are the water lines simply disconnected or nonfunctional?
Either way, wouldn't the garage Itsuki works at have a hydrant and hose he could use?

Couldn't he just use the car wash? They might have a hose there. X3

Many apartments will include the cost of 1 or more utilities in the rent. It's a perk used to incentivise people to move in, especially in lower cost areas.leinglo wrote:I'm confused, by "water's not included," does Itsuki mean there are no bathroom facilities in his apartment, or are the water lines simply disconnected or nonfunctional?

Not every place does that though. So I think he means that he has to pay separately for water use, and is trying to find ways to use less.

He's also a car mechanic, so he probably gets to that level pretty quicklyBandit1990 wrote:Also, based on the water around him, Itsuki must not come by that often.

Yeah well Duch, why don't you take Bino to one of those fancy Country-Clubs?
...
...
... well yeah I can think of some reasons why. Nevermind,

The fact that the water not in Itsuki's immediate vicinity is clean and clear is in itself a good indicator that he doesn't go there very often.Obbl wrote:He's also a car mechanic, so he probably gets to that level pretty quicklyBandit1990 wrote:Also, based on the water around him, Itsuki must not come by that often.

What with all the fur they have to deal with, I suspect the Babylon Gardens public pool has the BEST filters.

Expecting the ‘lady’ to bathe in public
was rather optimistic of Ol’ Bi
unless, course, tht was his plan
he’s becoming crafty, this guy.
They’re friendly – mostly-
and some need to get a break;
it’s not his fault the water’s off
and he needs to paint, ffs(ake)!
Itsuke’s mixing and matching at will
and brightening it up with his skill.
I wonder, though, what he’s drawing here…
and when the next ‘crashers’ will appear.

Jeez, what a rough life Itsuki must be living. Or maybe he's just cheap. Or both.
Looks like taking Duchess to the public pool didn't have quite the effect Bino was hoping to get out of it.

Someone needs to introduce Itsuki to the showers. Public pools usually have shower stalls.
At least he didn’t hand her the soap expecting her to wash him.

It's all a cross-cultural, cross-social class misunderstanding....
And I think I know our merchant's situation. Actually, water's included in the contract...BUT it NEVER works!! Had a couple places like that...
We've seen Itsuki's place ... He had the Sandwich family over there for dinner once, and Earl remarked that his host might be hinting that his salary was too low.
All that said, now that you know about hot dogs, Itsuki, time to learn about the showers....

IIRC, Japan has a lot of public bathhouses. Itsuki probably assumed he found one in the US.
Also, Itsuki better keep an eye on his clothes - he wouldn’t want someone to steal them and end up being mistaken for a feral.

Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

But, whoa... Do you really have to wash yourself in the pool where's Duchess, Itsuki? Poor Bino, who has to always listen at his girlfriend... But it's well deserved. Probably, they should put another board with the write "No washing!!".

Glad to see Itsuki again! It's been ages since he last appeared in a comic (or at least feels like such).
What do you get when you cram a shapeshifter, a dog-dragon, two wolves, a human, a robot, a bear, and a fox into one vessel? (They/Them pronouns)
Re: 2018/01/12 - Splish Splash
Oh gosh, I love Itsuki! <3
He's so snuggly.... and clueless about American culture.
Also, is it just me, or has he gotten chubbier since he's been living in America? Or is it simply because of the change in art style?

A very good point. Guess that's why during the Great Water Balloon War, we never see anyone after they're soaked. It's Rick's way of getting It past the radar.TeflonCougar wrote:Adoring Fan wrote:Yeah, i don't know whats stranger the fact that shes wearing a bathing suit or the fact that the pets wear more cloths swimming than when they are dry. Because the "sticky" flag wasn't removed before it was moved here. The option to remove it doesn't seem to be popping up for me in the moderator options, but I'll see what I can do.
