The angels are to the right of Keene, who is at the right side of the last two panels, so the angels are off-panel.

Res still has some power;
more than the other shower;
the ones of inaction obscene
have just fled the scene.
They did nothing to aid,
though the game got played
they descended for fun
and, now it’s hard, they run.
Keene has to still hope
someone will toss them a rope;
before the full story ends
they may find they have friends.

welp I knew that the demon would do something like that oh well hopefully tarot or kitsune will find a way to help them but if worst comes to worst at least if Keene get crushed he has Breel to spend eternity with

Soooo, I guess there's just a shadow demon from hell loose in the world now. There's gonna be consequences for that later.

Getting to that later is starting to look problematic though. Can't Keene's dream powers do anything? Surely a label as vague as dream powers has more capability than just flight.

I'm no expert at escaping dungeons that are falling apart around you, but my guess is running would be a very good idea right about now.

Well Keene is still inside the temple, and so long as the structure is intact enough to maintain it's pocket dimension it stands to reason that the classes and powers bestowed to those inside will also persist. I'm sure that Keene and Res' powers will shut off when they get back out into the mortal world, same as it did for everyone else when Dallas teleported them out.

The "pop" would lead me to believe the demon teleported or something. However, your question made me realize how strange it is the demon's the same color as the background. The background of the mana chamber has been the color of mana, portal, or lava (whichever's closest), but with all of that gone, the black background indicates there is no other light source so that place should be pitch black. That would mean you would camouflage no matter what color you are. We can see them cuz' it's a comic, but they shouldn't be able to see each other.

Demons aren't notorious for gratitude. But....let's just see. Imps have their ways....

Still, this arc seems to pop a surprise every third comic. I'm speculating that Thomas and Sophie may stumble into the scene and, once the mine shaft gang consolidates, there may be a change in forces. Res is still empowered so the hat-bag powers still work, even though "Sampson in the Temple" metaphors aren't too encouraging.

And, as Kitsune says of his own off-panel presence, "don't interfere, but that doesn't make me uninvolved." Time to invoke the "Rule of Intrinsic Benevolence"!

At first glance, I thought Res's green sound effect read "Growl." Don't growl, Res, that's rude. :O

Also, heh. I wonder if the little imp-demon can shapeshift and impersonate others. Could make for some Interesting Twists later on.

Could someone tell me the full story behind the blue-striped yellow creature that has several cameos as well as being depicted in Rick's forum avatar. From the bits and pieces on the forums I was able to piece together he is a Danroo (whatever that means) named Ponbon created by Rick Griffin. What I don't know is who he is, what he does or what he's from.

The danroo are a species created by Rick a way long time ago, and he's never really done anything with them. I believe at one point Ponbon served as an avatar of Rick's (in the persona sense), but now Rick uses ponbon as a calling card of sorts because he's memorable (and adorable)

Ponbon is the Rick Griffin Studios mascot. He's a member of the Danroo species, as you've learned, which was conceived for the comic "Imperial Reign."

That project hasn't come to fruition just yet.

Alright I've never seen that before and that looks awesome. Shame it hasn't come to fruition yet!

Also, Angels, please. I know you have an excuse this time but why must you be so powerless in this arc? At least Breel had a good reason for being weakened! He actually tried to defend himself a bit from The Forgotten and was fully IN hell for an extended period of time!

Welp, that leaves the Camels and Kitsune, and all things considered that's really only a 25% chance of actually getting out cause for some reason I don't feel like the Camels will be much help
