I know I'm the one with the weird theories and I have a new one ready: In 5kBC, when Dragon, I suppose, did the wake up bit for the first time, it had a green theme, like Dragon's speech bubbles. In this strip it's red themed, like Kitsune's speech bubbles. My theory is that it was actually Kitsune, who woke up these guys.

It could be possible. Especially since when Kitsune speaks in his big Godly voice the text bubble is red

Kitsune has been - mostly - off-line throughout the whole adventure so he may have either spoken through Keene like Dragon did with Tarot or else planted the idea in the ferret's head.

yeah, the supernatural shenanigans b-plot was better when it was a disjointed string of small isolated incidents. shorter unconnected arcs are less likely to suffer arc fatigue, or to run into mood wiplash when things get silly, and breaks between them don't feel like pointless filler.

Don't get me wrong, I still like some of the longer arcs, but it being 'some' rather than 'most' is the problem there. The endgame and post game portions of the time-line have always felt off to me as a result.

A little off theme here.

I looked back one comic and got a second thought on the camels. Maybe someone already mentioned it. Thomas has a sizeable bump on his head, cartoonish even, The type of bump in other comics and toons that comes with amnesia.

If amnesiatic Thomas regains his senses as a camel, then camel is all he will know. I could see a scene of him standing in a zoo enclosure with Sofie pressed affectionately against him.

Well, this arc features three story lines: The storyline about Res and his work on Pridelands aswell as the storyline about heaven and the cosmic game and the one about Keene and Breel. This storylines interchange with each other in this arc, that's why it seems confusing. I'll sort out the events.
A: Res, becoming the saviour of Keene and the Angels, fianally gain some selfconfidence and a bunch of inspiration for his Pridelands book series.
B: With the using up of the mana and the the destruction of the temple, the amount of heaven's leftovers in the world is gone,except for Dragon's temple maybe, but this one doesn't matter
C: Breel kissing Keene made both gay in the canon sense. Keene experienced being in the working class and what words can do(worst case: hell) thus gained some developement and understands what actually matters in life.

We could also throw in as other lines...
1. Conflict between Keene and Tarot over the mana, resolved by the mana's evaporation, Keene gets the guy, and apparent reconciliation between dog and ferret.
2. The personalities of Lester and Dallas become more developed, and Joey returns to the stage.
3. We learn a bIt more about the power and vulnerabilities of Celestials. After many, many years, Rufus returns.
4. Pandemonium is introduced and the Infernal counterpart of the Celestial Heaven enters the Housepets universe. Some new, definitely sinister characters join the cast (The Forgotten, Eudoant, the little dino-demon), implying further devilish intrusions may occur.
Twas a well woven work, this arc...

I'm starting to suspect after rereading this arc that Rufus might like Maxwell and is infact happy to see Maxwell ~ not Res.

Though it never hurts to like them both :3
