First may I say I absolutely love the title of this strip. I can't tell is Keene is yelling because he is elated that waking up worked, enraged because this means everything that just happened wasn't technically real, or just mad at himself because he had the power to end this the whole time but he was too distracted to realize it before then. I like how in any other comic ending an arc this long with "it was only a dream" would be a total retcon, but for Housepets! it's par for the course. Is that a hint of a smile I see on Breel when he discovered he woke up in the same bed as Keene?

It was all real. For proof he's sleeping with the angels (and Res) and there's a Max in his bedroom.

Welp. It took an arc eight bloody chapters long, but with the destruction of the temple and the mana Rick has finally exorcised the last of the major supernatural influences upon Babylon Gardens and it's residents.

But I don't see an "end" tag yet. There's still a few more questions to be answered. Like: How are Keene and Breel going to stay together now?

Thats why the "technically". As I understand it, everything happened, just not in the same reality we know and love. Everything that happened to them was very real, but the world around them hasn't changed to reflect their actions because they were the temple's pocket dimension (except for the customary "or is it"). To me it seems a bit like going into the matrix.

I personally think Keene is more annoyed that he could have done that AT ANY TIME! so, in short, they weren't in any danger....except when they where. Yes, there's logic in what i said.

Probably because we can't see his eyes. If we could, I imagine his expression would indicate something more akin to confusion or shock. I mean, one second he's a weretiger struggling to lift a piece of rubble and in a literal instant, he's suddenly a normal cat sitting up in a bed with a bag over his head with likely little to no idea of what just happened.

I know I'm the one with the weird theories and I have a new one ready: In 5kBC, when Dragon, I suppose, did the wake up bit for the first time, it had a green theme, like Dragon's speech bubbles. In this strip it's red themed, like Kitsune's speech bubbles. My theory is that it was actually Kitsune, who woke up these guys.

I think Keene is upset mostly because he's ALWAYS been upset whenever this trick has been used on him. It's doubly frustrating because he did it to himself this time as opposed to Pete or Cerberus in the past.

I DO think that all the events of Temple Crashers 2 happened as the only people in Keene's bed are the angels, Breel, and Res. I'm guessing that Peanut, Grape, Tarot, and the rest are still on the temple grounds thinking that Res and Keene are trapped in the rubble of the temple. This wasn't so much a dream as it was a really fancy teleport that Keene could do.

I can't help but notice Breel and Keene in the first panel... It's such a lovely embrace! Breel looks so sincerely worried, and it almost tells something about their relationship. Amazing how many details Rick puts in his work.

Since the dream involves multiple folks, do they all wake up simultaneously, or were they only involved through Keene's mind. As noted earlier with Zack, being in someone else's dream still affects you even if you're not the "awoken".

Clearly, Keene owes everyone a major party!!

No. ONLY the ones still IN the temple were teleported. Sofie and Thomas left in the previous episode.
