Well, obviously Kari’s been using the temple for inspiration in making his own dungeon. Though now I'm beginning to wonder just what is the full extent of his engineering skills.

Also, whose fox cubs? I think determining that is imperative.

Amazingly, this is only the second time Steward and Karishad have been in a strip together (the other time being the wedding). Though since they both worked for Keene, it can probably be assumed they've interacted off panel. Where is Karishad getting the funding/materials for additions? I kinda hope the fox kits aren't Karishad's. No offense, but he doesn't' seem like he would be a responsible father. Regardless, now that they have been mention mentioned, Rick, you are required to have baby foxes in a strip in the near future (or you know, do what you were going to do anyway).

While a part of me admittedly does thinks it would be kinda cute to have some mini-Karishads running around, the rest is horrified at the very idea. Even if Kari was a good father, Babylon Gardens does not have enough collective sanity to handle more than just one of him.

Before I saw this I didn't know what Steward was doing in the second panel. Hiding his face from Kari makes more sense then him reacting like that to bunk-sharing or mysterious basements. We can't tell because of the medium, but does the transformation change their voice? Steward recognized Thomas pretty quickly, but Fox and the police dogs that arrested Joel never found out on their own that King was Joel. If he wants to keep his former identity a secret, I would think he would change out his glasses or take them off, as the glasses could be used to identify him (I guess that means in one way, he's like Spot (superedog)).

I think it does change voices at least somewhat. The Police dogs wouldn't have reason to remember Joel's voice, but Fox definitely would have, he dwelt on that encounter for a long time.

He's hiding from Kari since they both worked for Keene. I'm also of the opinion that Kari would totally recognize Steward at a glance

I was just thinking, Steward is the kind of guy who'd already be thinking of the next step, and I wonder if he (as someone experienced in corporate finance) has some loopholes he can take advantage of even though (or because) he's a badger...

Couple random thoughts....

Back in the Temple, Dallas and his crew ran into the Limrick-spouting Hermit. That encounter suggested that may there were square-foot entrances to the Temple. So, Welsh, maybe you're on to somethin'. Maybe Karishad has a private access to the Temple, and maybe some of the Temple remains intact. Incidentally, that might also answer Pete's long ago comment "....except for that Fox. I don't know how he keeps getting in here."

"Stew-ger" probably should worry about Karishad. Kari likely encountered the accountant a few times in the Milton Mansion so voice recognition could be in play. We also know that the power to detect the original form of someone magically shape-shifted exists. Tarot, for example, rebuffed King's flirtations when she realized he was actually Joel ("I don't date humans"). Kari might have or channel that power.

Fox cubs and Bailey puppies!!

He was surprised that Thomas got hit with it.

Probably the same thing that prevents King from reclaiming any of his human property. You can't exactly walk up and go "excuse me, but I used to be human and I own this. I was magically turned into an animal by a griifin demigod."

King had Pete dictating exactly where he could and couldn't go. If Pete wouldn't let him go to the indoor bathroom, I doubt he would've let him go to his old house to get his stuff. If Steward lived alone then there would be no one to convince he used to be human. I suppose it's possible that after they didn't find Steward the police seized his house in case he tried to come back. While they likely wouldn't recognize him in Badger form despite his paranoia, as you say they also likely wouldn't grant him access even if he has the key to the house.
