I had never seen or heard of a merle border collie until Rufus's introduction at the farm. Even then I thought, what a strange fur pattern for a dog. And then not very long after that, I actually saw a guy walking a dog that looked exactly like Rufus. I was totally amazed.

Granted the cast page did say Rufus might be into cats since 2010, but I took Occam's razor and assumed that was referring to the barn cats
