I’m assuming not many. I’m think the Movie Palace is one of those places that only appears once a year then will disappear at sun rise like it was never there. Instead there’ll be something stupid there like a Starbucks.

I have to watch a movie for class and I couldn’t watch it online so I had to get the DVD from Netflix and it about killed me. Others had to find the physical versions as well. Peanuts struggle is real.

My thought: If the movie they're about to see isn't on the Internet, maybe it's an 8mm reel-to-reel? I've only been able to watch one of those, and only once in my life. It had no sound because the speaker was broken on my projector, or maybe it just wasn't made with sound. It was some random family's beach vacation video (Maybe a demo?) which happened to be in the projector case when I bought it for $5 at a farm auction.

Btw, if you're reading this, Rick, that might be a good idea for a story arc. ("Let's Go to an Auction!") Auctions in my area are a lot of fun, especially farm auctions out of town. Usually it's like a huge garage sale, with flat wagons full of boxes of random stuff. One box might be filled with antique kitchen gadgets, and the box next to it is filled with antique woodworking tools, and the next box is filled with random small boxes of nuts & bolts, and next to that is a box of dusty old china dinnerware.

In the middle of the flat wagon, they'll put larger items, like vacuum cleaners, antique water well pumps, pipes, large tools, (chainsaws, can'thooks, pipe wrenches, tire jacks and irons, etc.) wheels, lawnmowers, sewing machines, microwaves, table lamps, chairs, etc.

Most of the time, they'll auction off full boxes of items, rather than individual pieces. So you might buy a working, like-new push mower for $20, or you might buy a cardboard box full of fishing supplies for $5.

I can see King as a great auctioneer! He knows how to use his mouth, (;- ) and he's a good salesman!

You know the more I look at this chapter the more I think "If this turns out to be a huge feint, I'm going to be really ticked off" Like if there's all this build up for some kind of supernatural twist then it turns out to only be a story about Peanut and Grape renting a movie. So far we've seen nothing spooky and and scariest thing so far was that VHS tape.
