I don't think it's that people don't like them its just that they are annoyed at their antics and how they tend to disturb the whole neighborhood. Their father was responsible for building a pet friendly neighborhood for pets and their parents to live in after all.

I think a lot of that stuff would be covered by the company itself. They couldn't be a business if they got in trouble every time someone wanted to use their services. If Keene had it parked on private property then it would be better but since it's in the middle of the street I don't think so. Knowing Keene he'll probably be like, "I own this neighborhood, I can do whatever I want. I put the entire state fair here, you think something like a spa is going to ruin me. You can talk to my shady lawyers."

As a common practice of autocrats - whether political, administrative, or corporate - public and professional funds are seen as identical. "I want it - they buy it!"

The fine for a semi completely blocking a residential street is still under $100, just about anywhere. Stacking a few violations will still make it a few hundred at the most.

Code: Select all

APK-22 Commercial vehicle parked between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. $60
APK-23 Parking a large vehicle in residential district $60
APK-26 Trailer/semi-trailer parked on street over 2 hours $60
APK-28 Parked obstructing street $40

Public nuisance violations generally require a complaint. Trespassing? It's a public street *and* it's on the Milton estate (Babylon Gardens was built by Henry Milton remember). The rest only apply if the company renting huge and expensive spas is completely incompetent.

And Keene is a personal friend of highly placed judges.

Don't forget the court fees, those are killer. I had a $20 traffic fine that cost me 80 bucks. (I don't know if those are cumulative or not)

However much the fines, it's gonna be "chump change" for the Miltons....

It's the principle though. Rich people don't pay taxes or fines.

If you don't want the court fees you can probably plead guilty by mail and save a bit.

In my county you have to pay the legal processing fees regardless of whether you contest the ticket.

So it would be better to just pay the ticket since fighting it is only gonna rack up the fees.
